AI VS. HUMAN: THE DESIGN SHOWDOWN
Five designers received the exact same creative challenge:
Transform the Unplugged Performance Tesla Model S APEX “Dark Helmet” race car into a retro graphic worthy of a T-shirt.
The difference? Four of the designs were created using leading AI image-generation models, while one was created by a human designer.
Now, it is up to the Unplugged Performance community to decide which design deserves the win.
The AI vs. Human Design Showdown is live now through August 24, 2026. Explore all five competing designs, choose the one you would actually wear, and vote for your favorite through your purchase.
You can support a design by purchasing its T-shirt directly. Customers placing a qualifying order can also select their preferred design during checkout, allowing every purchase to help determine the winner.
Will one of the AI-generated concepts earn the most support, or will the human designer prove that originality and creative instinct still come out on top?
