The Unplugged Performance 2026 Limited Edition Black Snapback, Gold Edition is a wearable emblem of the wins, lap records, and podium finishes Unplugged Performance has earned on some of the most demanding circuits in the world.
This piece commemorates a chapter of motorsport history that only our team has lived, and it is reserved for customers who invest in the brand at a level that matches the program behind it.
The color story is intentional.
Black is the livery of our championship Tesla Model S Plaid, Dark Helmet, the car that reset the record for the fastest modified electric vehicle at the 2023 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a sub ten minute run of 9:54.901 driven by Randy Pobst, after previously claiming its class at Pikes Peak in 2021. Dark Helmet has also captured lap records at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca, Big Willow, Buttonwillow Raceway Park, Streets of Willow, and Auto Club Speedway, taking on purpose-built race cars while competing in a roughly 5,000 pound modified luxury sedan. Gold is the color of achievement. It speaks to podiums, championships, and the standard we set when our cars meet the clock. Worn together, black and gold carry the weight of every lap, every record, and every win that built the Unplugged Performance name.
This story continues with Red Rocket
Red Rocket, a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance. claimed a second place finish in the Gridlife Street GT Class at Laguna Seca, set a new Model 3 street tire record of 1:33.989 on Michelin Cup 2 R rubber, and then established the overall Tesla Model 3 Laguna Seca lap record of 1:32.853 on Michelin S8A slicks. What makes the achievement remarkable is that Red Rocket was driven to the event. It is a daily driver with a track-ready soul, the clearest expression of our philosophy that real performance has to survive the street before it wins on the track.
The Hat
At the front of the hat, a three-dimensional gold embroidered UP patch anchors the design. The raised stitching creates depth and dimension that plain flat embroidery cannot match, mirroring the precision and attention to detail that defines every Unplugged Performance component.
A gold EST. 2013 callout on the side honors the year our journey began, the year we set out to build what was missing in the electric performance world.
The silhouette is inspired by the classic New Era 9Forty profile but the hat itself is fully custom made for Unplugged Performance, cut and constructed to our specifications rather than pulled from a catalog.
Inside the cap, a fully branded interior continues the story. A gold embroidered LIMITED EDITION stamp sits under the brim as a signature for the owner.
Custom Unplugged Performance taping in gold and black runs across the crown in a repeating UP monogram, and a woven Unplugged Performance label finishes the sweatband. These are the details you notice when you hold it in your hands, the kind of thoughtful finishing that separates a piece of merchandise from a piece of the team.
Limited Quantities
Produced as a true limited edition for 2026 with restricted quantities and no planned restock, this snapback will not be reproduced once the run is complete. Every hat is tied to a specific moment in Unplugged Performance history, reserved for customers who commit to the brand at a level that reflects the program behind it.

What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will Tesla void my warranty if I install aftermarket parts?
A vehicle’s comprehensive warranty as a whole may not be voided due to use of aftermarket parts per the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts). However, a manufacturer may require a customer to pay for parts and labor for a repair if there is direct causation between a customer’s alteration and the product or service repair being requested. It is in both manufacturer and customer’s interest to follow logic and reason so that the system of good faith is not abused. If this topic interests you please read the law as well as your warranty documentation. Ultimately we are Tesla owners and enthusiasts, we are not lawyers and cannot provide legal advice.
