Is the Race Team snapback one size fits all?
Yes. It uses an adjustable snapback closure over a structured, high-profile crown, so one hat covers the normal range of head sizes. The peak is curved, the front panel holds its shape, and the whole thing stays light enough to forget you are wearing it on a hot day.
What is the story behind the Race Team hat?
It is the merchandise version of the hat our race team actually wears. Same energy as the program that took a Tesla up Pikes Peak and keeps chasing records at California circuits. The design stays deliberately clean, with tonal under-peak detailing instead of sponsor clutter, so it works away from the track too.
Does it have a flat or curved bill?
Curved. This is a classic curved-peak snapback rather than a flat-bill street style hat. The structured front gives it a race paddock profile straight out of the box, no shaping ritual required. If you specifically want a flat bill, this is not your hat.
How do I keep it clean?
Spot clean only. Work marks out with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry away from heat. Machine washing breaks down the structured front panel, which is the part that makes the hat look right, so keep it out of the laundry entirely.
Can I wear it daily or is it strictly track merch?
Daily. The materials are lightweight and durable, and the tonal detailing keeps it low-key enough for the office coffee run. Paddock to parking garage, it is the same hat. We designed it to move between those settings without looking like a costume in either one.
When will it ship after I order?
Stock units ship the next business day. Domestic parcels usually land within a week, and worldwide shipping is available with exact rates shown at checkout before you commit. Nothing about a hat requires freight, so there are no surprises on the shipping line.
Is there matching race team apparel?
The UP Race Team Pikes Peak T-Shirt is the natural pairing; it comes from the same program this hat represents. Cold weather runs through our North Face collaboration pieces if you need more than a tee. Between those pieces and this hat, the team wardrobe is covered.
How does this compare with the limited Gold Edition snapback?
This one stays in the catalog; the Limited Edition UP Snapback, Gold Edition is a one-time commemorative run that will not return once sold out. Construction differs too: the Race Team hat runs a curved peak and tonal palette, while the Gold Edition leans into raised gold embroidery and interior branding. This hat stays available, while the Gold Edition is the rarer collectible.
Is this a good gift for a Tesla owner who does track days?
It is the safe pick: one size fits all, and it reads instantly to anyone in the Tesla performance world. If you want to upgrade the gift, pair it with entry to a TeslaCorsa Track Day Experience, the Tesla-dedicated track day series we run; the hat then becomes the souvenir.
Does Unplugged Performance actually race, or is the team branding just marketing?
We race. The team has competed at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and set EV lap records at tracks including Laguna Seca and Streets of Willow. Parts get developed on those cars first, and the merch exists because customers kept asking for what the crew wore. The hat is a byproduct of the racing, and honestly, so is the company.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout. For specific questions or shipping quotes, Unplugged Performance’s support team is available to assist.
