There’s nothing quite like the sound of tires gripping asphalt and the hum of electric motors pushing through corners at full speed. TeslaCorsa 43 kicked off our 2026 season at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on the CW13 configuration, and what a way to start the year. Over 40 drivers joined us for a day of laps, learning, and pure electric performance.
From Nervous to Full Send
Every TeslaCorsa event welcomes a mix of seasoned track veterans and first-timers, and TeslaCorsa 43 was no exception. Six brave beginners showed up having never set foot on a racetrack before, and watching their transformation throughout the day was the highlight for our entire team.
Take Damien, a retired mailman who arrived at Buttonwillow with zero track experience and plenty of nerves. During his first session, he took it easy by learning the lines, getting comfortable with the speed, feeling out his car. By his second session? Damien was whipping up and down the track, grinning ear to ear, having the time of his life. That progression from cautious to confident is exactly why we do this.
Then there was Jason and his cousin, Los Angeles natives who started the day quietly observing from the sidelines. As the sessions went on, something clicked. They caught the track bug hard and started asking to ride along with every other driver they could find, soaking up as much seat time and knowledge as possible. We have a feeling we’ll be seeing them at the next event with a whole new level of confidence behind the wheel.
We also loved seeing a teenager with HPDE experience bring his entire family out to share the track with them. He took turns giving his family members laps in the family sedan (Model S), proving that TeslaCorsa truly is for everyone.
Every Tesla Welcome
One of the things that makes TeslaCorsa special is the incredible variety of Teslas that show up.
TeslaCorsa 43 featured an impressive lineup: first-generation Model S classics, Model S Plaids unleashing their full tri-motor power, Cybertrucks turning heads on track, Model 3s across all trims, and Model Y Performance models proving they’re more than just daily drivers. No matter what Tesla you own, there’s a place for you on the track.
Your Questions, Answered
If you’ve been thinking about bringing your Tesla to the track but aren’t sure what to expect, here are a few things to know.
Do I need any track experience? Absolutely not. TeslaCorsa is designed for all skill levels. We provide instruction and structure so that beginners can learn safely while experienced drivers can push their limits. As Damien proved, you can go from first-timer to having the best day of your life in just a couple of sessions.
Will the track damage my car? Track days are about controlled, organized driving. You’ll be driving your own car at your own pace. We encourage drivers to know their comfort level and build speed gradually. Many of our participants drive their daily Teslas to the event, run laps, and drive home.
What should I bring? A helmet is required (loaners are available), and we recommend comfortable clothes, sunscreen, plenty of water, and a full charge (There is a Tesla SuperCharger onsite). Check your tire condition and brake pads before the event, and come ready to have fun.
Is my Tesla fast enough? Every Tesla that showed up to TeslaCorsa 43 had an incredible time. Whether you’re in a base Model 3 or a Plaid, the track reveals a side of your car you simply can’t experience on public roads.
