This document establishes the Unplugged Performance Product Warranty Classification System. Each product sold by Unplugged Performance is assigned to a warranty category that defines the specific coverage terms, duration, scope, exclusions, care requirements, and remedies applicable to that product type.
The number of categories is determined by the distinct warranty and liability needs of our product lines — not by an arbitrary target. Categories may be added, consolidated, or revised as the product line evolves.
Each product page on unpluggedperformance.com will display the assigned warranty category with a link to the full terms. The e-commerce system will tag every SKU with its category code, enabling dynamic warranty display, automated reporting, and accurate customer communication.

Remedy
If a warranty claim is approved, Unplugged Performance will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective wheel with the same model or a functionally equivalent model if the original is discontinued. There is no limit on the number of structural warranty claims per wheel during the warranty period, provided each claim is valid and the wheel has not been previously replaced under warranty.
Note: Replacement wheels are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. Replaced wheels become the property of Unplugged Performance.
Care & Maintenance Recommendations
To preserve both appearance and structural integrity of your forged wheels:
- Clean regularly with pH-neutral wheel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, acid-based cleaners, or abrasive pads.
- Remove brake dust promptly to prevent etching of the finish.
- Have wheels inspected for damage after any significant pothole strike or curb contact.
- Use only UP-specified lug nuts or OEM lug nuts torqued to the recommended specification. Re-torque after the first 50–100 miles of driving on newly installed wheels.
- Store wheels in a clean, dry environment if removed seasonally.
- Do not use air tools to install lug and torque lug nuts
Category B: Flow-Formed Wheels
| Coverage | Lifetime Structural Warranty (Limited to One Replacement per Wheel) |
| Duration | Lifetime of the original purchaser’s ownership of the vehicle on which the wheels were originally installed |
| Warranty Holder | Original purchaser only (direct from UP or authorized dealer) |
| Transferable | No |
| Track Use | Covered (paved surfaces; see exclusions for off-road and competitive events) |
Applicable Products
All wheels in the UP flow-formed (FF) wheel lineup, including but not limited to: UP-RW FF series, UP x BBS Flugplatz collaboration wheels, and any future flow-formed wheel models designated by Unplugged Performance.
Scope of Coverage
This warranty covers the structural integrity of flow-formed wheels against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage is identical in scope to Category A (Forged Wheels) with one critical distinction: warranty replacement is limited to one (1) replacement per wheel per original purchaser, regardless of the total number of wheels purchased.
Structural failure is defined identically to Category A: a crack, break, or deformation originating from a manufacturing defect that compromises the wheel’s structural integrity and renders it unsafe for continued use.
Replacement Limitation
IMPORTANT: EACH FLOW-FORMED WHEEL IS ELIGIBLE FOR A MAXIMUM OF ONE (1) WARRANTY REPLACEMENT DURING THE LIFETIME OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER’S OWNERSHIP.
A replacement wheel provided under this warranty does not carry a new or additional warranty. Once a wheel has been replaced, no further warranty coverage applies to that wheel position. This limitation reflects the manufacturing economics of flow-formed wheels relative to fully forged wheels.
Exclusions
All exclusions listed under Category A (Forged Wheels) apply identically to Category B. Additionally:
- No warranty coverage of any kind attaches to a replacement wheel issued under this warranty
- Claims for wheels that have already been replaced once under warranty will be denied regardless of the nature of the claim
- Claims of “out of round” from a tire machine that do not show evidence of deformation while driving will not be considered warrantable for Flow Formed product.
Remedy
If a warranty claim is approved, Unplugged Performance will replace the defective wheel with the same model or a functionally equivalent model. The replacement is the sole and exclusive remedy. Unplugged Performance will not provide cash refunds, credits, or any alternative remedy beyond one-time replacement.
Claim Process
To submit a structural warranty claim for a flow-formed wheel:
- Email support@unpluggedperformance.com with subject line: “Warranty Claim — Flow-Formed Wheel — [Order Number]”
- Include: proof of purchase, clear photographs of the structural failure from multiple angles, vehicle information (year, model, VIN), description of the circumstances when the failure was discovered, and confirmation of installation details
- Unplugged Performance reserves the right to require return of the wheel for physical inspection prior to claim approval. Shipping costs for return inspection are the customer’s responsibility.
- Claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovering the structural failure.
Care & Maintenance
Same care recommendations as Category A (Forged Wheels) apply.
Category C: Brake Systems & Components
| Coverage | 2-Year Limited Warranty on Non-Consumable Components |
| Duration | 2 years from date of original purchase |
| Warranty Holder | Original purchaser only |
| Transferable | No |
| Track Use | Covered (paved surfaces; see exclusions for off-road and competitive events) |
Applicable Products
Non-consumable brake components including: Big Brake Kits (BBK) — calipers, caliper brackets, and mounting hardware; stainless steel sport brake line sets; brake kit structural hardware and fittings.
This category does NOT apply to brake pads, brake rotors (including carbon ceramic rotors), or brake fluid. These are consumable/wear items and are covered under the Consumable Items policy (see SH1: Consumable / Wear Items below).
Scope of Coverage
Unplugged Performance warrants that non-consumable brake system components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. This includes:
- Caliper body cracking or failure attributable to manufacturing defects
- Bracket or mounting hardware failure under normal use
- Stainless steel brake line failure (fitting leaks, line rupture) under normal operating conditions
- Premature failure of caliper pistons, seals, or internal components attributable to manufacturing defects
- Finish or coating defects on calipers present at delivery or appearing within 1 year under normal use with proper maintenance
What “Normal Use” Means for Brake Systems
Normal use includes daily street driving, highway driving, spirited driving on public roads, and paved racetrack use during open track days or high-performance driving events (HPDE). Normal use does NOT include competitive timed racing events, endurance racing, professional motorsport, or sustained use at temperatures exceeding the system’s design limits.
Exclusions
- All consumable/wear items: brake pads, rotors, brake fluid (regardless of mileage or time — see Consumable Items policy)
- Normal operational noise: brake squeal, squeak, rattle, whistling, or grinding noises under certain temperature/humidity conditions is inherent to high-performance brake systems and is not a warrantable defect. Race-capable brake pads and kits should be expected to produce more noise than OEM although for most drivers they will be acceptable for everyday use.
- Damage from improper bedding/break-in procedure. Customers must follow UP’s published brake bedding instructions. Failure to properly bed brakes can cause uneven rotor deposits, vibration, and reduced performance — none of which are covered.
- Damage from use of non-compatible brake fluid (we require DOT 4 or above, we typically recommend Motul RBF 700)
- Damage from brake fluid contamination, moisture intrusion due to failure to flush fluid at recommended intervals
- Overheating damage: caliper discoloration, seal failure, or piston seizure resulting from sustained extreme-temperature use without adequate cooling. Discoloration is considered normal cosmetic wear from high extreme-temperature use.
- Damage from improper installation, including incorrect caliper alignment, improper torque on fasteners, use of incompatible components, or failure to bleed the system properly or break in the components per the installation manuals
- Damage from vehicle accidents, collisions, or impacts
- Cosmetic wear on caliper finish from normal brake dust exposure and heat cycling
- Use on vehicles other than the specified Tesla model for which the kit was designed
Remedy
Approved claims will be resolved by repair or replacement of the defective non-consumable component at UP’s sole discretion. Warranty does not cover: labor costs for removal or installation, brake fluid, shipping costs, alignment, or any incidental costs associated with the repair.
Note: When a BBK is purchased as a kit, warranty coverage applies to the non-consumable components of that kit. Brake pads and rotors included in the kit are consumable items and are not warranted against wear regardless of how soon wear occurs.
Category D: Suspension Systems
| Coverage | 2-Year Limited Warranty, Unlimited Mileage |
| Duration | 2 years from date of original purchase |
| Warranty Holder | Original purchaser only |
| Transferable | No |
| Track Use | Covered (paved surfaces; see exclusions for off-road and competitive events) |
Applicable Products
All suspension components sold by Unplugged Performance, including but not limited to: coilover suspension systems (street, sport, luxury, lift/dirt/snow); adjustable front and rear sway bars; sway bar quick-disconnect end links; billet adjustable rear camber arm sets; billet adjustable rear toe arm sets; strut tower braces; adaptive suspension canceller kits; suspension packages and bundles (individual component warranty applies per component).
Scope of Coverage
Unplugged Performance warrants that suspension components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years with no mileage limitation. This includes:
- Oil leakage from shock/damper bodies attributable to manufacturing seal defects
- Broken or fractured springs under normal use
- Failure of adjustment mechanisms (ride height, damping, camber, toe) due to manufacturing defects
- Weld failures on sway bars, brackets, or mounting hardware
- Premature failure of billet aluminum components (cracking, thread stripping) under normal use and proper torque
- Electrical or electronic failures in adaptive suspension canceller kits
Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEMS MAY PRODUCE SOUNDS AND SENSATIONS THAT DIFFER FROM FACTORY SUSPENSION.
The following are inherent characteristics of aftermarket adjustable suspension and are NOT warrantable defects:
- Clicking, popping, or creaking sounds during slow-speed turns, parking maneuvers, or suspension articulation over uneven surfaces
- Increased road noise or harshness compared to factory suspension (particularly at stiffer damping settings or lower ride heights)
- Sway bar end link noise during parking or low-speed maneuvers
- Differences in ride quality compared to OEM — aftermarket suspension is engineered for performance, which inherently involves handling/comfort trade-offs
However, if a noise is accompanied by a visible defect (e.g., oil leak, cracked mount, broken spring), the component may be eligible for warranty service.
Exclusions
- Normal wear of consumable suspension components: bushings, bump stops, dust boots, bearing wear over time
- Damper fade or reduced performance due to normal use over time (dampers are engineered for a service life; gradual performance reduction is wear, not a defect)
- Damage from off-road use: jumping, rock crawling, unpaved surface racing, off-road competitive events. Note: Occasional use on maintained dirt/gravel roads is acceptable for products designated for “Dirt & Snow” or overlanding use.
- Damage from extreme environmental conditions: sustained operation in deep water, salt flats, desert sand immersion, or temperatures exceeding the published operating range
- Damage from improper installation: incorrect torque, failure to follow alignment specifications, installation without proper tools or by unqualified personnel
- Damage from vehicle modifications that alter suspension geometry, load capacity, or mounting points beyond what UP products are designed to accommodate
- Alignment costs. Suspension installation requires a professional alignment; this is the customer’s responsibility and is not covered.
- Damage from competitive timed racing events (time attack, wheel-to-wheel racing, rallying) — paved HPDE / open track days are covered
Remedy
Approved claims will be resolved by repair or replacement of the defective component. Warranty does not cover labor, alignment, shipping, or any incidental costs. If a complete suspension system was purchased, only the defective individual component will be replaced — not the entire system.
Care & Maintenance
- Inspect suspension components periodically for signs of oil leakage, loose fasteners, or visible damage
- Re-torque all fasteners after the first 500 miles and at regular intervals thereafter per UP instructions
- If ride height or damping adjustments are made, have alignment checked and corrected as needed
- Wash undercarriage regularly if driving in salted road conditions
- Follow all published maintenance intervals for damper fluid service (if applicable to your product)
Category E: Carbon Fiber Components and Painted Parts
| Coverage | 2-Year Structural Warranty (Cosmetic Coverage Excluded Unless Professionally Finished) |
| Duration | 2 years from date of original purchase |
| Warranty Holder | Original purchaser only |
| Transferable | No |
| Track Use | Covered (paved surfaces; see exclusions for off-road and competitive events) |
Applicable Products
All carbon fiber exterior and aero components manufactured by Unplugged Performance, including but not limited to: trunk spoilers, front lip spoilers, front diffusers, front aero kits, rear diffuser extensions, fender flares, carbon fiber hood systems, mirror caps, and any future carbon fiber products.
Manufacturing Process
Unplugged Performance carbon fiber parts are manufactured using state-of-the-art prepreg autoclave technology with a proprietary dry-carbon-kevlar backing layer for maximum structural rigidity and impact resistance. This process produces aerospace-grade composite parts that are significantly lighter and stronger than wet-layup alternatives.
Finish: As-Delivered Condition
All carbon fiber parts ship with one of two base coat options:
- Dry Gloss Base Coat: A preparatory clear layer that showcases the natural carbon fiber weave pattern with a glossy finish
- Dry Satin Base Coat: A preparatory clear layer with a matte/satin finish
CRITICAL: THE BASE COAT IS A PREPARATORY LAYER ONLY. IT IS NOT A FINISHED, PERMANENT PROTECTIVE COATING.
The base coat is designed to present the part for inspection and provide short-term handling protection. It showcases the natural carbon weave but is not engineered to withstand long-term UV exposure, road debris, chemicals, or environmental wear. Minor imperfections in the base coat — including slight weave variations, minor resin pooling, or subtle surface texture differences — are inherent characteristics of the autoclave manufacturing process and are not considered defects.
Professional Finishing: Customer Responsibility
PROFESSIONAL FINISHING IS ESSENTIAL AND IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY.
To protect the appearance and longevity of carbon fiber components, Unplugged Performance strongly recommends:
- Professional clear coat application: A high-quality automotive clear coat with UV inhibitors applied by a qualified body shop provides long-term protection against UV degradation, yellowing, and environmental damage.
- Paint Protection Film (PPF): Application of PPF over the clear coat or directly over the base coat provides additional protection against stone chips, scratches, and road debris.
- Professional painting: For customers who prefer a body-color or custom-color finish, professional painting by an I-CAR certified shop or equivalent is recommended.
Without professional clear coating or PPF, carbon fiber components are susceptible to UV yellowing and discoloration, resin cracking from UV exposure, stone chips and scratches to the weave, and environmental degradation from chemicals, bird droppings, tree sap, and road salt. These conditions will develop over time on unfinished parts and are not covered under warranty regardless of when they appear.
Scope of Structural Coverage
The 2-year structural warranty covers:
- Delamination of carbon fiber layers attributable to manufacturing defects
- Structural cracking or fracture of the composite layup under normal use
- Bonding failure between the carbon fiber component and its mounting structure (where bonded by UP)
- Gross fitment defects that prevent proper installation following UP instructions (minor fitment adjustments are normal for aftermarket body components)
Exclusions
- ALL cosmetic issues on unfinished parts: UV fading, yellowing, discoloration, resin cracking, oxidation, cloudiness, or any visual degradation of parts that have not received professional clear coating or PPF
- Cosmetic issues on finished parts caused by: substandard clear coat application, incompatible paint products, improper paint preparation, or failure of third-party finishing work
- Stone chips, scratches, road debris marks, or physical surface damage from any cause
- Damage from automated car washes, pressure washers applied at close range, or abrasive cleaning tools/compounds
- Damage from harsh chemicals including: acetone, MEK, paint thinner, aggressive wheel cleaners, bug/tar removers not labeled safe for clear coat
- Fitment adjustments: minor shimming, gap adjustment, or alignment during installation is normal for aftermarket body components and is not a warrantable issue
- Damage from improper installation, including over-torquing fasteners, drilling unauthorized mounting holes, or use of incompatible adhesives
- Damage from vehicle accidents, collisions, or impacts
- Parts used on vehicles other than the specified Tesla model
- Carbon fiber hood systems that include integrated lighting: the carbon fiber hood structure is covered under this Category E; LED lighting components are covered under Category H (Lighting & Electrical)
Remedy
Approved structural claims will be resolved by replacement of the defective component. The replacement part ships in the same as-delivered condition (base coat only). The customer is responsible for all finishing (clear coat, PPF, paint), installation labor, and shipping costs associated with the replacement.
Carbon Fiber Care Guidelines
- Apply professional clear coat or PPF as soon as possible after installation
- Wash by hand using pH-neutral automotive soap. Avoid automated car washes with spinning brushes.
- Do not use abrasive compounds, heavy-cut polishes, or aggressive clay bar treatment on carbon fiber surfaces
- Remove bird droppings, tree sap, and bug residue promptly to prevent staining or etching
- Apply UV-protective spray sealant or wax over clear coat every 3–6 months for maximum protection
- If PPF is applied, follow the PPF manufacturer’s care instructions
- Store vehicles with carbon fiber components in covered parking when possible to minimize UV exposure

- Coating/finish defects present at delivery or developing within 1 year under normal use (powder coat peeling, bubbling, or flaking not caused by impact or chemical damage)
Crash Testing Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: UNPLUGGED PERFORMANCE HAS NOT CONDUCTED OFFICIAL CRASH TESTING ON STEEL OR ALUMINUM BODY COMPONENTS.
Aftermarket body components, including bumpers, bull bars, rock sliders, and armor, may alter the vehicle’s crash performance characteristics compared to the factory-original components. These alterations may include changes to crumple zone behavior, airbag deployment timing, occupant protection geometry, and pedestrian impact characteristics.
BY PURCHASING AND INSTALLING THESE PRODUCTS, THE CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND ACCEPTS THAT:
- The products have not been crash-tested and no representations are made regarding crash performance
- Installation may void or alter the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty or crash safety certifications
- The customer assumes all risk associated with the collision performance of aftermarket body components
- Unplugged Performance shall not be liable for any injury, death, or property damage arising from the collision performance of these products
Exclusions
- Collision, impact, or accident damage of any kind
- Fitment adjustments: minor shimming, gap adjustment, or trimming during installation is normal for aftermarket body components
- Surface rust or surface corrosion (as opposed to rust-through perforation). Steel products used in salt-belt states, coastal environments, or areas with road chemicals will experience surface corrosion faster. This is environmental, not a defect.

Category H: Lighting & Electrical Components
| Coverage | 2-Year Limited Warranty |
| Duration | 2 years from date of original purchase |
| Warranty Holder | Original purchaser only |
| Transferable | No |
| Track Use | Covered (paved surfaces; see exclusions for off-road and competitive events) |
Applicable Products
All LED lighting systems, auxiliary lighting, wiring harnesses, and electrical components sold by Unplugged Performance, including but not limited to: LED light bars (50″ and other sizes), integrated LED hood lighting systems, auxiliary driving lights, wiring harnesses, relay kits, switch panels, and electrical connectors. When a product spans multiple categories (e.g., the Carbon Fiber Hood System with integrated LED Light Bar), the lighting/electrical components are covered under this Category H while the structural carbon fiber component is covered under Category E.
Scope of Coverage
Unplugged Performance warrants that lighting and electrical components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years. This includes:
- Premature LED module failure: individual LED diodes or LED arrays failing to illuminate under normal operating conditions
- Wiring harness defects: factory-terminated connectors failing, wire insulation defects, factory splice failures

- Control module or driver failures: electronic driver or controller boards failing under normal use within the warranty period
- Factory switch or mounting hardware defects
Installation & Wiring: Critical Requirements
IMPORTANT: PROPER INSTALLATION AND WIRING ARE CRITICAL TO WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS.
Lighting products must be installed following UP’s wiring diagrams and installation instructions exactly. The following installation requirements apply:
- All electrical connections must use the connectors, relays, and wiring provided by UP or specified in the installation instructions. Splicing into the vehicle’s factory wiring harness outside of UP’s instructions, using non-specified connectors, or bypassing relays or fuses voids the warranty.
- All wiring must be properly routed, secured, and protected from heat sources, moving parts, and abrasion. Wiring left unsecured, routed through pinch points, or otherwise improperly routed is not covered.
- Fuses and relays specified in the installation instructions must be used. Bypassing fuse protection or substituting incorrect amperage fuses voids the warranty and creates a fire hazard.
- Sealed lighting housings must be installed per instructions to maintain the factory seal. If the customer opens, disassembles, or modifies a sealed housing, the water intrusion warranty is voided.
- Electrical connections to the vehicle’s power system must be made at the specified tap points. Connecting to circuits that cannot support the current draw, or connecting without proper grounding, voids the warranty.
Exclusions
- Damage from improper installation or wiring: incorrect connections, reversed polarity, bypassed fuses, spliced factory wiring, improper grounding, or any deviation from UP installation instructions
- Water intrusion resulting from improper installation, broken seals during installation, or aftermarket modification of sealed housings
- Power surge, short circuit, or overvoltage damage caused by the vehicle’s electrical system, jump starting, or connection of incompatible third-party electrical accessories
- Physical damage: cracked lenses, bent housings, or broken mounts from impacts, off-road debris, or vehicle accidents
- Natural LED degradation: gradual reduction in LED brightness or slight color temperature shift over the life of the product is a normal characteristic of LED technology, not a defect
- Damage from sustained use at temperatures exceeding the published operating range of the product
- Use of lighting products in a manner that violates local, state, or federal vehicle lighting regulations. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable lighting laws.
- Damage from automated car washes, pressure washers applied directly to lighting housings or connectors, or harsh chemical exposure
- Interference with vehicle ADAS systems (cameras, sensors, radar) caused by lighting placement or operation. Customer is responsible for ensuring aftermarket lighting does not obstruct or interfere with vehicle safety systems.
- Use on vehicles other than the specified Tesla model(s)
- Due to the sensitivity of the Tesla software, we do not warranty how our lights will interact with auxiliary lights or other auxiliary powered systems running on the same circuit. If you use non-Unplugged Performance components on the same circuits or install them differently than instructed they may not function properly or cause faults in the vehicle’s electrical system.
Remedy
Approved claims will be resolved by repair or replacement of the defective lighting or electrical component. For integrated systems (e.g., LED light bar within a hood system), only the defective electrical component will be replaced — not the entire assembly. Warranty does not cover labor for removal, installation, or rewiring, and does not cover shipping costs.
Safety Notice
Aftermarket lighting systems draw additional power from the vehicle’s electrical system. Customers should be aware that: improper wiring can create a fire hazard; lighting that is too bright, improperly aimed, or used on public roads may violate traffic safety laws; and auxiliary lighting should not be used in a manner that distracts, blinds, or endangers other road users. Unplugged Performance assumes no liability for the customer’s use of lighting products in violation of applicable law. All Unplugged Performance lighting components are sold for OFF ROAD USE ONLY and may not be legal in some jurisdictions.

Care Requirements
To maintain your polycarbonate windows and preserve eligibility for warranty claims on structural shape:
- Clean only with mild soap and water or cleaners specifically formulated for polycarbonate
- Use only soft microfiber cloths; never use paper towels, abrasive pads, or squeegees
- Do not use ammonia-based glass cleaners, acetone, or other solvents
- When possible, garage or cover the vehicle to reduce prolonged UV exposure
- Avoid automated car washes with brushes that may scratch the polycarbonate surface
Remedy
If a structural shape defect is confirmed during the warranty period, Unplugged Performance will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the affected window at no charge for the part. Customer is responsible for shipping costs and any labor required for removal and reinstallation. Replacement does not extend or restart the warranty period.
Special Handling SH1: Consumable / Wear Items
What Are Consumable Items?
Consumable items are products designed to wear out through normal use and require periodic replacement as part of regular vehicle maintenance. These items carry no warranty against wear, but are warranted for fit and function at the time of delivery.
Consumable Products Include
- Brake pads (all compounds: street, track, off-road)
- Brake rotors (all types: iron, carbon ceramic, slotted, drilled)
- Brake fluid
- Sway bar bushings
- Suspension bushings, bump stops, dust boots (when sold individually as service parts)
- Tires sold by UP that are manufactured by third parties (see Third-Party Products below)
- Any other item explicitly designated as a consumable or wear part in its product description
What IS Covered
Consumables are warranted for correct fit and function at delivery only:
- Product matches the description and specifications listed at time of purchase
- Product fits the specified vehicle application without modification (assuming correct application was ordered)
- Product is free from manufacturing defects that prevent it from functioning as intended at the time of installation
Claims for fit or function issues must be submitted before installation or within 7 days of installation.
What Is NOT Covered
- Wear of any kind, at any rate. Brake pads and rotors wear at different rates depending on driving style, vehicle weight, temperature, and conditions. Rapid wear from track use or aggressive driving is not a defect.
- Performance characteristics that are a matter of preference (pad noise, bite feel, dust level)
- Rotor warping or vibration caused by improper bedding, uneven lug nut torque, or aggressive use before proper break-in
Special Handling SH2: Final Clearance
Products marked as “Final Clearance,” “Final Sale,” or “Discontinued” are being phased out and are sold under the following terms:
ALL FINAL CLEARANCE ITEMS ARE SOLD “AS IS” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.”
ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- No returns, exchanges, or refunds except for documented shipping damage reported within 72 hours of delivery
- Related replacement parts, accessories, or technical support may not be available
- Not eligible for Road Warrior Replacement Guarantee, rebates, trade-in programs, or any promotional programs unless expressly stated
- Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law
Special Handling SH3: Third-Party Products
Certain products sold by Unplugged Performance are manufactured by third parties and carry the original manufacturer’s warranty rather than (or in addition to) an Unplugged Performance warranty. These include:
- Tires: BF Goodrich, Michelin, and other tire brands sold through UP are warranted by the tire manufacturer under their own warranty terms. UP does not provide any additional warranty on tires. Consult the tire manufacturer’s warranty documentation included with the product.
- BBS collaboration wheels: BBS wheels sold through UP may carry BBS’s manufacturer warranty for certain defects. Consult the product page for specific warranty terms.
- Any product whose product page states: “Warranty provided by [manufacturer name]”
When purchasing a wheel and tire package or any bundle that includes third-party products:
- The Unplugged Performance warranty (Category A or B) applies to the UP wheels
- The third-party manufacturer’s warranty applies to the third-party components (e.g., tires)
- UP will assist in facilitating third-party warranty claims where possible, but ultimate warranty responsibility lies with the original manufacturer
- Mounting, balancing, and TPMS services included in packages are covered by UP’s standard workmanship guarantee for 30 days from delivery
General Provisions (All Categories)
Non-Transferability
All warranties are non-transferable and apply exclusively to the original purchaser who purchased the product directly from Unplugged Performance or an authorized dealer. Products purchased secondhand, from unauthorized resellers, auction sites, or transferred to a subsequent vehicle owner are not covered. Written consent from Unplugged Performance is required for any warranty transfer, which may be granted or denied at UP’s sole discretion.
Proof of Purchase Required
All warranty claims require valid proof of purchase: original order confirmation email, invoice, or receipt showing the purchase date, product purchased, and purchaser name. Claims without valid proof of purchase will be denied.
Claim Submission Deadline
All warranty claims must be submitted within thirty (30) days of discovering the defect. Claims submitted after 30 days may be denied at UP’s discretion. Discovery is defined as the date the customer first became aware of, or reasonably should have become aware of, the defect.
Inspection Rights
Unplugged Performance reserves the right to require return of any product for physical inspection before approving or denying a warranty claim. Return shipping for inspection is at the customer’s expense. If the claim is approved, UP may, at its discretion, reimburse reasonable return shipping costs. Products sent for inspection without a valid RMA number will not be processed.
Sole and Exclusive Remedy
The sole and exclusive remedy for any valid warranty claim is repair or replacement of the defective product (or, for apparel, exchange or store credit). Unplugged Performance will not provide cash refunds for warranty claims. Replacement products may be new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent to the original.
No Coverage for Labor, Shipping, or Incidental Costs
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific category, warranties cover parts only. The following are never covered: labor costs for removal, installation, or any service work; shipping costs for return of defective products or delivery of replacements; vehicle alignment, brake bleeding, or other service adjustments; paint, clear coat, PPF, or any finishing work; rental car, towing, or alternative transportation costs; lost time, lost revenue, or any other incidental or consequential costs.
Installation Requirements
Products must be installed by a qualified professional or by the vehicle owner following UP’s published installation instructions. For products that require professional installation (noted on the product page), installation by an unqualified individual voids the warranty. For urethane and painted parts specifically, installation must be performed by Unplugged Performance, an I-CAR certified shop, or equivalent, following all UP-provided instructions precisely.
Vehicle Compatibility
Warranty coverage applies only when products are installed on the specific Tesla vehicle model and year range for which they were designed and sold. Installation on non-Tesla vehicles, incompatible Tesla models, or significantly modified vehicles voids the warranty.
Track Use Coverage
All Categories A through H include coverage for use on paved racetracks during open track days and high-performance driving events (HPDE). Warranty does NOT cover damage from: competitive timed racing events (time attack, wheel-to-wheel, drag racing); professional motorsport of any kind; off-road racing, rallying, or events on unpaved surfaces; or accelerated wear of consumable items from track use.
Limitation of Liability
UNPLUGGED PERFORMANCE’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY WARRANTY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT AT ISSUE. IN NO EVENT SHALL UNPLUGGED PERFORMANCE, BULLETPROOF AUTOMOTIVE, INC., OR THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: VEHICLE DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, TOWING COSTS, RENTAL CAR EXPENSES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM PRODUCT USE OR FAILURE, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY UNDER WHICH SUCH DAMAGES ARE SOUGHT.
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED IN THIS DOCUMENT AND THE APPLICABLE CATEGORY TERMS, UNPLUGGED PERFORMANCE DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE SHORTEST DURATION PERMITTED BY LAW.
Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes shall be resolved through the dispute resolution process in the Unplugged Performance Terms and Conditions (good faith negotiation, then JAMS mediation, then binding JAMS arbitration in Los Angeles County, California).
Modifications
Unplugged Performance reserves the right to modify these warranty categories and terms at any time. The warranty terms applicable to any product are those in effect at the time of the original purchase. Changes will be posted at unpluggedperformance.com/warranty.
