Unplugged Performance has received its first production inventory of the UP-RW Flow-Formed Road Warrior wheels for Tesla Model Y, with early customer orders already packed and shipping.
After months of anticipation, the wait for the UP-RW FF Road Warrior is officially coming to an end.
Unplugged Performance has received inventory of the new 19-inch UP-RW Flow-Formed wheels and has already begun fulfilling orders for customers who secured their sets during the introductory special pricing period.
For everyone who placed an early order, we want to say thank you. The response to the UP-RW FF has been tremendous, and we appreciate the customers who committed to the wheel before inventory arrived. Those wheels are now making their way out of our facility and into the hands of Tesla owners.
For customers who missed the introductory promotion, the UP-RW FF is now available in stock for $1,835 for a set of four wheels, with orders shipping within 24 hours.
The standard wheel set does not include the optional curb guard rings. Customers who want the added protection of the replaceable curb guard system can add the rings separately when ordering.
Road Warrior Design, Now More Accessible
The UP-RW FF takes the design philosophy of the original forged UP-RW Road Warrior and brings it to a precision flow-formed platform.
The familiar Y-spoke architecture and integrated aerodynamic design remain, but the flow-forming manufacturing process allows Unplugged Performance to offer the Road Warrior concept to a broader group of Tesla owners.
The wheel measures 19×8.5 ET +30 and weighs approximately 27.64 pounds. More importantly for everyday owners, the UP-RW FF was designed around straightforward Tesla fitment. It fits all Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y years and trims, clears factory brakes without spacers, and is compatible with the factory 19-inch tire sizes and OEM TPMS sensors.
Built for the Reality of Daily Tesla Ownership
The Road Warrior has always been about more than appearance. Tesla owners put serious mileage on their vehicles, and wheels regularly encounter potholes, rough pavement, road debris, tight parking spaces, and the occasional curb. The UP-RW FF was developed with those realities in mind.
One of its most practical features is the available replaceable aluminum curb guard ring.
Rather than allowing minor curb contact to immediately damage the wheel itself, the guard surrounds the outer edge of the wheel and acts as a replaceable layer of protection. If a guard becomes damaged, owners can replace the ring rather than refinishing or replacing the entire wheel.
The curb guards are optional and are sold separately, allowing owners to decide whether they want to add that additional protection to their setup.
Combined with a lifetime structural warranty and a load rating engineered to support applications up through Model X, the UP-RW FF was designed for long-term use rather than simply making an impression when first installed.
Aerodynamics Still Matter
Changing wheels on a Tesla can have consequences beyond appearance. Wheel design affects the way air moves around a vehicle, particularly at highway speeds, which is why aerodynamic efficiency has been a major part of Road Warrior development from the beginning.
The UP-RW FF carries the aerodynamic philosophy established by the original forged UP-RW, using an integrated aero-focused design rather than relying on a removable plastic wheel cover.
Development of the original Road Warrior platform included Computational Fluid Dynamics testing, with the forged UP-RW coming within 0.010 Cd of Tesla’s 18-inch Photon Aero Covered wheel in testing.
That same efficiency-minded approach helped shape the flow-formed version.
