ABOUT THE TESLA MODEL Y ASCENSION FRONT FASCIA SYSTEM

The Ascension Front Fascia System is a complete bolt-on replacement solution designed to replace the Tesla Model Y’s front fascia (front bumper cover) with our performance-inspired redesign. Included in the box is a front bumper cover that integrates perfectly with all Tesla-related components and hardware to facilitate easy installation. There are no additional parts needed to purchase for a complete and seamless factory-style bolt-on installation.

DESIGNER’S NOTES

Our approach to this design entailed imbuing the Model Y’s visage with the performance soul that the car delivers, but to do so in harmony with the Tesla Model Y’s design and functionality. While Model 3 and Model Y share design elements such as the headlights and corner lights, the overall shape is actually quite different. Bringing out Ascension design DNA to the Model Y was a major challenge and required nearly 2 years of constant development and testing until we were thrilled with the final product.  The Model Y Ascension Front Fascia incorporates sharpened modern lines with an integrated front lip spoiler.  The shapes are balanced to enhance your Tesla’s design and work in harmony with the rest of the vehicle.  You can install this on an otherwise stock vehicle and have it look right at home, or use it on a wildly modified Model Y for the ultimate look.  Owners that prefer offroading and Overlanding can use bedliner coating on the integrated lip for a rugged look.

Unplugged Performance Ascension DNA

Tesla’s design team, who work next-door here in Hawthorne CA, are incredibly talented and produce some of the best looking and most functional car designs on earth. We naturally want all of our work to amplify the potential of Tesla’s design, but to never lose sight of its soul.  The Ascension program is designed to take the high-performance soul of the Model Y and bring some of that to the exterior of the vehicle with sharper lines and a more sporting face. In turning the dial-up with our design we always ask ourselves, is this something that would look appropriate in a Tesla showroom as a special model? If the answer is ever no, we erase the page and start over. What makes a car’s DNA is of course subjective. As Tesla owners and enthusiasts we follow our heart and aim to highlight what we love about the car first and foremost.  We then deeply consider the already-great work from Tesla’s design team and try to place ourselves in their shoes in an effort to honor their intentions and gain perspective. Ultimately, we look for thoughts, feelings, and specific ideas that mesh with those two worlds.   The name “Ascension” takes inspiration from our other neighbors at Space X.  It takes tremendous energy to blast a rocket into space and that energy is something that inspires our Ascension line.  We want your vehicle to reflect and manifest the excitement that you have behind the wheel when you are driving for enjoyment. The intended result is a look that shows off the tremendous performance potential of the vehicle which we have demonstrated with our SUV lap record at Laguna Seca.

Technical Design Criteria – Proper Functionality, No Downsides, No Drawbacks, No Compromises

We design our aerodynamics parts to work flawlessly with Tesla’s onboard systems.  Autopilot, cruise control, Summon, and associated systems are not disturbed.  Parking distance sensors are carefully maintained in their original orientation to provide equally precise readings.  Our proprietary urethane construction provides a resilient and durable fascia that will resist cracking and can stand up to minor fender benders.   Aerodynamically we work hard to deliver a fascia that is roughly as efficient as the hyper-efficient standard design.

Magnetic License Plate Holder Option (for USA plates)

This license plate holder allows your plate to be securely attached to your Ascension Front Fascia for daily use and easily and instantly removed without tools for car washes, car shows, or when traveling in states that do not require front plates.  Our plate holder uses an original Tesla part modified with embedded ultra-strong Neodymium magnets so that no one would ever know it’s removable.

The backside is padded with soft non-abrasive material to avoid scratching the paint. If you plan to frequently remove and replace the plate or live in harsh climates, we recommend cleaning the padding surface and underlying paint to avoid any micro-abrasions.

Note: To install needed magnets to enable the use of the plate, the bumper must be removed from the vehicle.  If you want a removable front plate solution, we strongly recommend purchasing this item at the same time you purchase your fascia to avoid unnecessary labor, cost, and headache of removing and reinstalling your fascia.  USA Plates only.  We also encourage 3rd party plate holder manufacturers to offer Ascension-compatible products for our customers.
