This past weekend, Unplugged Performance brought the Tesla community together for a morning dedicated to the Tesla Model Y Performance platform. From 9:00am to 11:00am, our Marketing team hosted an in-person meetup at the Tesla Diner, welcoming Model Y owners and enthusiasts from across Southern and Northern California for a relaxed, hands-on experience with our latest UP build.

The goal was simple: create a space where owners could connect, ask questions, and learn more about what is possible with the Model Y Performance when performance, design, and drivability come together.

A Community That Showed Up

We were blown away by the turnout and the energy. Owners arrived from as far as Sacramento and Santa Barbara, making the drive just to meet the UP team, see the car in person, and connect with other Tesla enthusiasts. From first-time Tesla owners to seasoned Tesla owners, the crowd reflected how passionate this community is about their vehicles.

Everyone who stopped by had the chance to grab UP swag, talk with our team, and walk around our featured build while learning about real-world upgrades that improve daily driving, performance, and style.

Real Questions from Real Owners

Throughout the morning, we had nonstop conversations about the upgrades people care about most:

  • What suspension setup works best for daily driving?
  • Should I keep my stock tires or upgrade?
  • How do wheels affect ride quality and range?
  • What difference do spacers make to stance and handling?

Owners were able to see the differences in person, stand next to the car, and understand how each modification changes the look and feel of the vehicle.

Featuring the UP Model Y Performance Build

Our showcase car was built to represent the perfect balance between performance, efficiency, and everyday comfort. The setup included:

  • 19-inch UP-RW Forged wheels
  • Michelin e-Primacy tires for efficiency and quiet ride quality
  • Moderate lowering springs for improved stance and handling
  • 15mm front wheel spacers and 20mm rear wheel spacers
  • Unplugged Performance Model Y Aero Kit

This configuration demonstrated how the Model Y Performance can maintain its range efficiency while gaining a more aggressive stance, sharper handling, and a clean, OEM+ look.

Learning from Dennis Wang

One of the highlights for attendees was meeting Dennis, a long-time UP collaborator and Model Y enthusiast who shared his personal experience with our modifications. Dennis spoke with attendees about his setup, including:

  • 15mm front and 20mm rear wheel spacers
  • Lowering springs
  • Camber arms

His real-world insight helped many owners feel more confident about choosing the right upgrades for their driving style.

Looking Ahead

Events like this remind us why we do what we do. It was incredible to meet so many passionate owners, hear their stories, and help them explore what is possible with their vehicles. We are already planning more in-person events and cannot wait to share details about the next one soon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the morning unforgettable. The Tesla community continues to inspire us, and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.
