Hello, everyone! We spent last Thursday evening at the Tesla Diner in Los Angeles for Diner Dash 2026, and there was plenty to catch up on. There were owners from the East Coast, the West Coast, and as far away as Florida, all coming together to spend an evening around the cars and people they enjoy.
The September 24 event had a Western theme, and plenty of guests came dressed for it. Cowboy hats, boots, and Teslas everywhere. It was a fun setting to catch up with friends, meet customers, and take a little time to enjoy being part of this community.
Three Builds, Three Different Purposes
We brought our UP.FIT Patrol Model Y, a Frost Blue Metallic Model 3 Performance, and the 2023 Model 3 Performance used for TeslaCorsa events and instruction.
Together, they represented a few different sides of Unplugged Performance, from purpose-built patrol vehicles to personal builds and cars that help introduce owners to driving on track. Having all three at the Diner gave us plenty to talk about with visitors throughout the night.
Of course, our vehicles were only a small part of what there was to see.
Customer Builds Out in the World
One of our favorite parts of these events is spotting UP parts on customers’ cars and then meeting the people behind them.
A yellow-wrapped Model 3 Standard Range on UP-RW Forged wheels caught our attention, along with BLKMDL3’s well-traveled Model 3 Performance. If you follow his adventures, you know this car covers serious ground, from coast-to-coast drives to trips reaching the Canadian and Mexican borders. With ASCENSION-R front and rear bumpers and wide UP-03 wheels, it also brings a track-ready look wherever it goes.
Will joined with his red-to-black fade Cybertruck on CYBRSPOKE wheels. We also caught up with the organizer behind CYBRODYSSEY, whose build featured UP INVINCIBLE parts. Seeing that variety in one place is always a treat.
Familiar Faces and Plenty of Miles
It was great to reconnect with Bearded Tesla, a longtime supporter of the brand whose Cybertruck runs UP-03 beadlock wheels. His travels have taken that build far into northern North America, giving us plenty of reason to appreciate how owners are using their vehicles.
Rafael, better known as TesLatino, was there as well. His high-mileage Cybertruck on CYBRHEX wheels has its own collection of long-distance adventures. Josh West also brought “Adventure Plaid,” fitted with CYBRHEX wheels in Gloss Black Machined finish.
These are builds we enjoy following, and seeing them together made the evening especially memorable.
Burgers, Interviews, and Three Light Shows
The Western theme had plenty of support, with guests turning up in cowboy hats, boots, and outfits suited to the occasion. Our team also tried the special event burger, because catching up over food was very much part of the plan.
Throughout the evening, we interviewed customers about their experiences with Unplugged Performance. We appreciated everyone who took the time to share honest thoughts and tell us more about their builds.
Around 8 p.m., three programmed Tesla light shows added another highlight to the night.
Until the Next Dash
We left grateful for the chance to slow down, share a meal, see old friends, and meet more of the people who support our work.
Thank you to Josh “Pappy” Hazel for coordinating the event, and to everyone who came over to talk with our team. We look forward to the next Diner Dash!
