Q: What’s involved in installing a coilover system on the Model S Plaid?
Installing coilovers on the Tesla Model S Plaid involves removing the factory air suspension system and replacing it with a fully mechanical adjustable system. The process requires disassembly of the suspension corners, installation of new coilover assemblies, and precise height, damping, and alignment calibration. Because the Plaid’s air suspension includes ride height sensors and software integration, the system must be properly bypassed and coded to prevent error messages. I had my Coilovers installed by NV Auto in Hamilton Canada.
They did a good job and I now have a great ride.
After about a month of driving I went one step further and put new 18” rims and tires on.
This really improved the ride and is is a joy to drive my Tesla again.

What a difference this sway bar made to my Model S Plaid. This helps correct the body roll the car has from the factory. I have much more confidence taking turns at a higher speed, and freeway on-ramps have become extremely fun. I would highly recommend upgrading your sway bar in the Model S!

These nuts are awesome! So much lighter than the OEM and they look so much cooler. Reduces unsprung weight while looking cooler which is a win-win. I went with the burnt titanium finish which looks incredible and really adds some color to your wheels in a subtle way. Highly recommend.
