Q: Is installing the ducts a DIY job?
Professional installation is recommended. The kit replaces the Tesla standard dust shield without cutting the metal shield, but the install requires cutting or removing the plastic grille, Tesla part 1564699-00-B, which runs about $70. It is also carefully designed to avoid interfering with suspension articulation and wheel angle. Our Hawthorne shop can handle the fitment and grille work so the airflow path is set up correctly.
