Q: Is this kit required for every Model Y, or only the Performance?

Only the 2026+ Model Y Performance needs it. Unlike the non-Performance trims, the Performance relies on adaptive damper feedback, so without a proper signal replacement it logs faults and shows alerts. If you have a non-Performance Juniper Model Y, a suspension upgrade such as our Luxury Pro coilover kit does not depend on this module. For the Performance specifically, though, it is mandatory when fitting coilovers, aftermarket shocks, or air suspension.
