Q: What does a rear strut tower brace actually do on a Model S?

It ties the two rear strut perches together so the chassis stops flexing side to side, fore, aft, and across the car. From the factory the 2021+ Model S braces the front with the firewall and a front strut bar, but the rear has no bracing and is free to move under load. Adding the brace gives you sharper steering turn-in, more predictable handling, and fewer interior squeaks and rattles.
