Q: What makes these shocks more comfortable than the stock Model 3 dampers?
Two design choices. The elongated stroke gives the damper more travel to absorb big bumps and expansion joints before reaching its limits, and the internal hydraulic bump stop cushions full compression rather than banging into a hard stop. We also tuned calmer rebound rates, which adds high-speed stability without resorting to stiff valving. The result rides noticeably softer than stock while staying controlled.
