Q: What’s involved in installing a coilover system on the Model S Plaid?
Installing coilovers on the Tesla Model S Plaid involves removing the factory air suspension system and replacing it with a fully mechanical adjustable system. The process requires disassembly of the suspension corners, installation of new coilover assemblies, and precise height, damping, and alignment calibration. The Plaid is a hefty car, and this is particularly felt at bends.

After using the fascia for over two years, this feels like a must-have Tesla upgrade. The stock Model 3 just doesn’t look the same anymore. I would recommend epoxy over double-sided tape to secure the ultrasonic sensors for a longer-lasting, flush fitment.
