The dual-rate design handles this well. Because there are two discrete rates, the firmer secondary rate is stiff enough to prevent excessive sagging when extra weight goes into the back. So a full cabin or a loaded trunk does not collapse the rear the way a soft single-rate spring might. To cut body roll further, many owners add the adjustable front and rear sway bar set alongside these springs.
