Tesla Model 3 UP x Koenigsegg Collaboration Trunk Spoiler
-
Produced in collaboration with Koenigsegg Advanced Manufacturing in Europe, these premium carbon versions of our renowned High Efficiency and High Downforce trunk spoilers for the Tesla Model 3 bring all the same high-performance aerodynamics with the ultimate in dry carbon fiber construction from the artisans at Koenigsegg.
We designed our High Efficiency Trunk Spoiler to help improve the aero efficiency of the Tesla Model 3. Using the latest in aero simulation and CAD technology, we engineered a spoiler that looks great, is simple to install (no drilling), doesn’t impede the rearward visibility of a driver, and most importantly, reduces overall drag! the High Downforce version adds a gurney flap which increases downforce levels significantly and although the gurney flap removes some of the efficiency gains it has a net neutral result on drag despite the substantially increased rear downforce.
During the R&D process in developing the High Efficiency spoiler, we found that we were able to reduce total vehicle drag by 6.3%, representing an improvement of 273% over the OEM spoiler available on the Performance trim level. In addition to the efficiency improvements, we were also able to increase rear downforce (helping to improve stability at speed) by 83.7% over having no spoiler at all. Patent pending.

UP Carbon parts are engineered using advanced prepreg-autoclave technology with our proprietary dry-carbon-kevlar backing layer. This superior method, with resin integrated during production, delivers exceptional strength-to-weight performance compared to traditional wet-layup or vacuum infusion methods.

How much does the High Efficiency spoiler actually reduce drag?
During development we reduced total vehicle drag by 6.3%, a 273% improvement over the OEM spoiler on the Performance trim. It also increased rear downforce by 83.7% versus having no spoiler, which helps stability at speed. Those are the same validated figures as our standard High-Efficiency spoiler; the Koenigsegg version changes the construction, not the aerodynamics. Patent pending.
Which Model 3 does the Koenigsegg spoiler fit and how does it mount?
It is designed for the Tesla Model 3 and installs with ultra-strong automotive-grade 3M double-sided tape, so there is no drilling and no permanent change to the car. That tape mounting also means you can remove it without modifying the trunk. Confirm your specific model year against the listing, and reach our team if you want to check fitment before ordering.
Is the Koenigsegg spoiler a DIY install?
Yes. It is simple to install with no drilling, using the 3M tape system, and it does not impede the driver’s rearward visibility. Many owners fit it at home. If you would rather have it done and you are near Los Angeles, our Hawthorne team can install it and quote timing. Clean, dry prep of the trunk surface is the main thing that makes the tape bond last.
Does the carbon weave really look different on the Koenigsegg version?
It does. This spoiler carries Koenigsegg’s signature Arrow-weave carbon fiber rather than a standard twill, finished in a gloss clear coat with a high-shine surface. It is meant to be a visible piece of hypercar craftsmanship on your Tesla, the same production partnership behind the UP x Koenigsegg front wide fender set. If the distinctive weave and provenance matter to you, that look is a large part of what you are paying for here.
Koenigsegg collaboration spoiler vs. the standard UP High-Efficiency spoiler?
The aero numbers are the same 6.3% drag reduction and 83.7% downforce gain either way. The difference is construction and finish: the Koenigsegg piece is made in the EU on their hypercar line in Arrow-weave carbon as a limited item, while the standard High-Efficiency spoiler delivers the same function at a lower price. Choose on craftsmanship and exclusivity, not on performance.
Does the High Efficiency spoiler help my range?
It helps because cutting drag by 6.3% reduces the energy needed to push the car through the air at speed, and less drag translates to better highway efficiency. The efficiency version is the one to choose if range is your goal, since the High Downforce gurney flap gives that efficiency back in exchange for grip. On the highway, the efficiency spoiler is the smarter pick.
What makes the UP x Koenigsegg trunk spoiler different from the standard one?
It is our High-Efficiency and High-Downforce trunk spoiler, but built on the same production line as the carbon aerodynamics on Koenigsegg’s hypercars. Produced by Koenigsegg Advanced Manufacturing in Europe, it uses their proprietary Arrow-weave carbon, cured in an autoclave and finished in a UV-protectant clear coat. Same aero shapes and gains as our regular spoiler, made with hypercar-grade construction as a limited-production item.
What is the difference between the High Efficiency and High Downforce options?
The High Efficiency version is tuned to cut drag while adding some rear downforce. The High Downforce version adds a gurney flap that raises downforce significantly; the flap trades away some efficiency but nets out roughly drag-neutral despite the much higher downforce. Pick High Efficiency for range and stability, or High Downforce if track grip is the priority and you can accept the tradeoff.
Will this spoiler void my Tesla warranty?
A tape-mounted spoiler like this will not automatically cost you your Tesla warranty. Magnuson-Moss makes Tesla prove the part caused a specific failure before refusing a claim, and a wing bonded to the trunk with 3M tape never touches a system Tesla warranties. It peels off with no drilling, so the car goes back to stock for a service visit without a trace.
How is this spoiler built and warrantied?
It is autoclaved dry carbon fiber made to keep weight low while staying rigid, produced by Koenigsegg Advanced Manufacturing exclusively for Unplugged Performance. Structural fitment and function are covered for 5 years for the original owner. The clear-coated carbon still carries the usual note that cosmetic outcomes from UV or impact on the finish sit outside structural coverage.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout. For specific questions or shipping quotes, Unplugged Performance’s support team is available to assist.
