Product Details
Stage 3 is the expedition build that turns a stock Cybertruck into a fully outfitted travel partner. Every component is engineered to work together, retain factory functions, and stand up to hard miles on dirt and pavement alike. Cameras, sensors, frunk access, charge port, and Tesla’s 48V lighting integration remain intact. The result is a truck that carries more, sees farther, protects itself better, and is easier to live with on every trip.
Front protection and working light
The HD Front Bumper replaces the plastic fascia with a steel structure that improves approach angle and adds Hi-Lift jack points and recovery points. Two integrated 11 inch flood lights fill the near and mid field for low speed trail work, campsite setup, towing at dusk, and adverse weather. Sightlines for the front camera and headlamps are preserved by design.
Bull Bar with LEDs
The chassis-mounted Bull Bar wraps the leading edge and corners and includes a recessed LED light option for additional forward punch. It maintains full functionality of the frunk, cameras, fog lights, and turn signals, and is compatible with future winch upgrades. Mount and dismount are simple and fully reversible.
Rock Sliders that do double duty
Full-length Rock Sliders replace the OEM plastic rockers with reinforced steel panels anchored along the chassis. They protect stainless bodywork and the battery enclosure from ledges and debris. The slider bars function as stable side steps to make entry and exit easier for passengers, kids, and pets, and can be replaced individually after hard use.
Rear bumper and side access
The HD Rear Bumper improves departure angle and adds twin recovery points, Hi-Lift jack points, and provisions for towing electronics and the Hardcore Hitch Receiver. Integrated Side Steps give fast, sure-footed access to the bed from either side without dropping the tailgate. Rear camera visibility and trailer plug access are maintained.
Side Sail MOLLE storage
The MOLLE Panels convert both sail panels into strong, rattle-free mounting surfaces for recovery boards, shovels, water, med kits, and soft bags. Mount to factory points or to the lower Roof Rack rails. The layout keeps weight low and centered, and puts essential gear within reach from the ground.
Carbon Fiber Hood System with integrated light
Prepreg carbon fiber with Kevlar reinforcement installs over the stainless hood and adds an inlet and exit duct system that manages airflow across the integrated UP 50 inch Curved LED Light Bar. The ducting helps keep the light within safe operating temperatures while adding a technical focal point to the nose. Offered in gloss for this package.
HD Roof Rack and Double Row Light Bar
Four heavy-duty rails bolt directly to the OEM roof mounts and are height-profiled to create a flat mounting plane for panels, crossbars, or accessories. The UP 50 inch Double Row High-Output LED Light Bar mounts to the forward rail and integrates with Tesla’s native 48V system. With 96 LEDs and 38,400 raw lumens, you get true turn-night-into-day capability for desert crossings, mountain approaches, and storm drives.
Engineered materials and finishes
Structural parts are primarily A36 steel with thickness optimized by function. Internal reinforcements are heavier, exposed structures use just over one eighth inch steel for durability, and non load-bearing panels are lighter to save mass. All steel parts receive a satin black powder coat over proper preparation to resist rust, scratches, and corrosion.
Roof Applique Requirement:
This package is compatible with every Tesla Cybertruck. The HD roof rack, the roof mounted double row light bar, and the Side Sail MOLLE panels all mount to the Cybertruck’s factory roof and sail panel mounting points, and those points are part of Tesla’s roof applique for crossbars.
Some Cybertrucks now ship from Tesla without the roof applique installed. If yours does not have it, order Tesla’s Cybertruck Roof Applique for Crossbars and install it first. Once those mounting points are in place, every component in this package installs exactly as designed. Nothing about the UP hardware changes. The applique simply provides the factory mounting points our parts bolt to. The bumpers, bull bar, rock sliders, and hood system are unaffected.
How to check your truck: look along the roof line where the cab meets the sail panels. If the applique and its crossbar mounting points are there, you are ready to install. If that area is bare, order the Tesla applique first, or contact our team and we will confirm fitment for your build.
Integration, serviceability, and reversibility
All components are direct bolt-on and chassis mounted. No cutting of stainless body panels is required. The design respects factory cameras, sensors, lighting, and UI. Parts are serviceable in sections, and the truck can be returned to factory configuration if desired.

What grade of steel is used and how thick is it?
Structural parts are primarily A36 steel with thickness set by function. Internal reinforcements run heavier, exposed structures use just over one eighth inch steel for durability, and non-load-bearing panels are lighter to save mass. Everything gets a satin black powder coat over proper preparation so it shrugs off corrosion and trail scuffs. The goal is strength where it takes hits, low weight where it doesn’t.
How bright is the roof light bar on this package?
The UP 50-inch Double Row High-Output bar carries 96 LEDs and puts out 38,400 raw lumens, mounted to the forward roof rail and integrated with the 48V system. It delivers genuine turn-night-into-day capability for desert crossings, mountain approaches, and storm drives. On top of that you get the hood-mounted 50-inch curved bar and the two 11-inch bumper floods for close-in work.
Do the rock sliders and side steps make it easier to get in the truck?
They do double duty. Full-length rock sliders replace the OEM plastic rockers with reinforced steel that protects the stainless body and battery from ledges, and the slider bars work as a stable side step for anyone climbing in, including kids and pets. Out back, the rear bumper’s integrated side steps give fast access to the bed from either side without dropping the tailgate. If a slider bar takes a hit, it unbolts and replaces individually.
What comes with the hood on the Expedition build, gloss or satin?
This package ships with the Carbon Fiber Hood System in gloss, with the integrated 50-inch curved LED bar and its ducting. The prepreg carbon with Kevlar reinforcement installs over the stainless hood, and the inlet and exit ducts manage airflow to keep the bar within safe operating temperatures. It adds a technical focal point to the nose while doing real cooling work.
How does Stage 3 compare to the Stage 2 Utility and Protection Package?
Stage 3 is Stage 2 plus the lighting and rooftop hardware. The Utility and Protection Package gives you the front bumper, bull bar, rock sliders, rear bumper, and Side Sail MOLLE for hard-use protection and utility. The Expedition Package adds the carbon hood with curved bar and the roof rack with double-row bar, so you’re solving light, storage, access, and protection as a complete system.
What wheels pair well with this package for real trail use?
Unplugged recommends pairing Stage 3 with UP Forged wheels for higher load capacity and the impact toughness a loaded overland truck needs. The CYBRHEX, CYBRSPOKE, CYBRNOVA, and CYBRDISC designs each lean a different way on looks and terrain focus. For a maximum-grip off-road setup, the UP-03 Beadlock wheel and tire package is built for airing down on the trail.
What does a full overland build for a Cybertruck include?
The Expedition Package is the Stage 3 overland system: HD Front Bumper with two 11-inch flood lights, HD Bull Bar with LEDs, Rock Sliders, HD Rear Bumper with side steps, Side Sail MOLLE panels, a Carbon Fiber Hood System with an integrated 50-inch curved light bar, and an HD Roof Rack with a 50-inch double-row bar. Every part is chassis-mounted and engineered to work as one system on dirt and pavement alike.
Is everything chassis-mounted, or does some of it bolt to the body panels?
All of it mounts to the chassis, not the stainless bodywork. The rock sliders anchor along the chassis, the bumpers use factory chassis points, and no cutting of body panels is required. Parts are serviceable in sections and the truck returns to factory configuration if you want. That chassis-mounted approach is what makes recovery points and jacking points actually trustworthy off-road.
Does the Expedition Package keep FSD and the cameras working?
Yes. Cameras, sensors, frunk access, charge port, and Tesla’s 48V lighting integration all remain intact by design. Bumper shapes preserve front and rear camera sightlines, and the light bars tie into the native 48V system. Bear in mind that adding steel changes what the cameras perceive, so plan on a post-install inspection with sensor calibration, and supervise the driver-assist features closely afterward.
Can I install the Expedition Package myself or should the shop do it?
Every component is direct bolt-on with no body cutting, so a determined owner with help can do it. Realistically this is a big build with a carbon hood, four bumper and slider assemblies, and multiple lighting circuits, so most people have us handle it. If you’re near Los Angeles, choose the install option at checkout and we’ll quote the full build and book a slot for professional fitting.
Will upgrading my brakes void the Tesla warranty?
Tesla’s warranty covers factory-installed parts, but it does not automatically void your warranty if you install aftermarket components like Unplugged Performance brake kits. Under U.S. law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), Tesla must prove that an aftermarket part caused a failure in order to deny warranty coverage. Our parts are engineered to work harmoniously with Tesla OEM Brake systems and can be professionally installed by Unplugged Performance in Hawthorne, CA or by an authorized installer to minimize risk. That said, any damage directly caused by misuse or improper installation may not be covered. We recommend retaining all factory parts so you can revert to stock if needed. Many Tesla owners enjoy peace of mind by using Unplugged Performance products, which are extensively tested and installed by certified professionals. If warranty concerns are top-of-mind, our team can help clarify compatibility and installation best practices to ensure a worry-free experience.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
