Fitment options
- 21×9.5 ET35 / 21×10.5 ET40 Staggered
This is the maximum-footprint, performance-forward setup. You will run Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires in 265/35ZR21 front and 295/30ZR21 rear. The wider rear supports traction under acceleration and adds a muscular stance. This package is ideal if you prioritize dry and wet grip with an EV-tuned compound and you want the most planted feel at speed. - 21×9.5 ET35 Square
This square package uses four Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S+ 275/35R21 tires. It balances year-round versatility with crisp steering and allows front-to-rear rotation for longer tread life and even wear. If you daily your Model Y through varied climates and want confident wet performance, refined noise characteristics, and the flexibility of rotation, this is the smart, long-term choice. - 21×10.5 ET40 Square
This bold square setup runs four Michelin Pilot Sport EV 295/30ZR21 tires. Expect a very planted footprint, fast steering response, and rotation capability despite the serious tire width. This is for drivers who want near-staggered grip levels without giving up the rotation advantage that supports long-term tire economy.
How to choose your package
- Pick Staggered (9.5/10.5) if you want maximum rear traction, the most aggressive stance, and EV-tuned summer performance. Best for spirited driving and drivers who rarely rotate tires front-to-rear.
- Pick Square 9.5 if your priorities are all-season flexibility, balanced handling, and full rotation. The ADVAN Sport A/S+ is an ultra high performance all-season that suits daily use, rain, and road trips while still feeling sporty.
- Pick Square 10.5 if you want the largest practical contact patch and summer performance with rotation capability. This option emphasizes grip and response while keeping ownership simple.
Why UP-05 works so well on Model Y
- Forged construction: 6061-T6 forging delivers high strength at low weight for better response over bumps and precise turn-in.
- EV-specific details: Knurled beads help resist tire slip during aggressive acceleration and heavy braking. High load ratings handle passengers, cargo, and real-world roads.
- Tesla-ready fitment: Clearances, hub specs, and hardware are designed around Model Y. Installation remains clean and OEM-friendly.
Ride, range, and alignment notes
Moving to a 21-inch package increases wheel diameter and tire width. Expect sharper steering and higher ultimate grip with a firmer, controlled feel. Range effects depend on tire choice and driving style. We recommend a professional alignment after installation to set camber and toe for your chosen tire width and to promote even wear. For daily use, follow the tire manufacturer’s cold pressure guidance, then fine-tune based on load and climate.
What is included
- Four UP-05 forged wheels in your selected 21-inch fitment

Who designed the 21-inch UP-05 wheel?
The UP-05 was designed in partnership with Sasha Selipanov, a designer known for shaping some of the most striking cars of the past decade. On the 21-inch package that design language sits on 6061-T6 forged wheels paired with EV-ready tires. So you are getting a genuinely styled wheel backed by forged engineering, not a generic aftermarket casting with a marketing name attached.
Does the 21-inch package fit all Model Y years and trims?
Yes. It fits all Tesla Model Y years and trims, including the Juniper, and the gallery shows it on Juniper cars. The package includes Tesla-compatible center caps and lug nuts, with TPMS compatibility built in, so it bolts on cleanly. If you plan extended track use or a unique ride height, contact us for guidance on alignment and clearances. Otherwise it is a straightforward fit across the Model Y range.
What are the fitment and tire options at 21 inches?
You can run staggered 21×9.5 ET35 front with 21×10.5 ET40 rear, or go square. Tire choices are Michelin Pilot Sport EV, in 265/35ZR21 front and 295/30ZR21 rear on the staggered setup, or the Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S+ in 275/35R21 as a square all-season. The staggered Pilot Sport EV is the maximum-grip play; the square ADVAN allows front-to-rear rotation for longer tread life.
What makes the 6061-T6 forging worth it on a Model Y?
6061-T6 forging delivers high strength at low weight, which improves response over bumps and sharpens turn-in on a heavy EV. The wheels also use knurled beads to resist tire slip under hard acceleration and braking, plus high load ratings to carry a fully loaded car over real roads. Those EV-specific details are why this holds up to Model Y weight better than a generic forged or cast wheel.
How do 21-inch wheels change the drive versus 20s?
Moving to 21 inches increases wheel diameter and tire width, so expect sharper steering and higher ultimate grip with a firmer, more controlled feel. You gain stance and precision and give up a little ride pliancy compared with a 20-inch setup. If you want the most planted, aggressive character and don’t mind the firmer edge, 21s deliver it. For maximum comfort, the 20-inch UP-05 package is the softer choice.
Should I pick staggered or square at 21 inches?
Choose staggered 9.5/10.5 if you want maximum rear traction, the most aggressive stance, and EV-tuned summer performance, best for spirited drivers who rarely rotate tires. Choose a square setup on the ADVAN Sport A/S+ if you want year-round versatility and the ability to rotate front to rear for even, long-term wear. Let your climate and your rotation habits drive the decision more than looks alone.
What is included, and does it arrive ready to bolt on?
The package includes four UP-05 forged wheels in your selected 21-inch fitment and a matched tire set for your chosen configuration, with Tesla-compatible center caps and lug nuts and full TPMS support. It is built to install cleanly and OEM-friendly. If you already have tires and want just the rims, the UP-05 forged wheel set is sold on its own. After fitting, we recommend a professional alignment to set camber and toe for your tire width, then follow the tire maker’s cold pressure guidance and adjust for load.
Do these 21s affect range?
Range effects depend on your tire choice and driving style. A wider staggered setup on summer EV tires trades some efficiency for grip, while the square all-season can be a touch friendlier day to day. Larger diameter and width generally add rolling resistance versus a narrower wheel. If range is a priority, lean toward the square configuration; if grip and stance lead, the staggered setup earns its keep.
Will UP install them, or can a local shop handle it?
Our Hawthorne team can install them if you are near Los Angeles, and the package ships ready with tires fitted to the wheels. A competent local shop can also handle the swap, since the spec is Tesla-compatible for the caps and lug nuts and reads factory TPMS. Whoever does it, get a professional four-wheel alignment afterward to dial in camber and toe for your chosen tire width and protect tread life.
Will fitting these void my Tesla warranty?
No, aftermarket wheels do not automatically void it. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act means a dealer must tie a specific failure to the wheels to deny that claim, rather than voiding coverage just because they are installed. Since this package uses Tesla-compatible hub and TPMS specs with factory lug nuts, and fits all Model Y trims, it is engineered to bolt on the way the factory setup does and keep that reasoning clean.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout.
