Subtle OEM+ Styling with Functional Detail We added a subtle style line on the front face—mirroring the one already present on the factory mirror—for an OEM+ look. This detail also contributes to minor drag reduction by managing airflow more effectively.

Inner Vortex Generators to Minimize Turbulence

The leading vertical edge of the factory mirror causes flow separation on the inside surface, creating a low-energy turbulent pocket. We integrated three small vortex generators just behind this edge to energize the airflow and help it stay attached. The concept is borrowed directly from aerospace, where vortex generators on the upper surface of aircraft wings delay separation and improve efficiency. While the drag reduction is minimal, it demonstrates the level of detail we pursue for performance gains. The flow visualization shows how one large turbulent zone is reduced to three smaller ones between the vortices.

Unlike most aftermarket mirror covers, ours fully wrap around the factory edge, completely hiding the original body color for a seamless carbon fiber look. As these are base coat finishes, warranty coverage excludes all cosmetic outcomes including UV-related fading, discoloration, scratches, rock chips, and finish degradation.
