Q: What do knurled bead seats actually do?

Knurled bead seats are a fine machined texture where the tire bead meets the rim. That texture grips the bead and helps stop the tire from rotating on the wheel under sudden torque or hard braking, which matters a lot on an instant-torque EV like the Model X. It is a small detail that protects balance and prevents slow leaks over the life of the tire.
