Q: What keeps the spherical bearings from wearing out on a daily driver?
The arms use sealed spherical bearings with self-lubricating Teflon liners in place of rubber bushings. The liner keeps articulation smooth over the life of the bearing, and the sealed housing keeps out water and road grime. On top of that, every arm wears a military-grade Cerakote ceramic hard coat, the same kind of finish used on firearms and aerospace parts, to resist corrosion and stone chips. Daily reliability was a design target, not an afterthought.
