Q: What does a wheel spacer actually do on a Tesla?
A wheel spacer is a slim machined ring that mounts between the hub and the wheel and pushes the wheel outward by a set amount. On a Model 3 or Model Y that closes the gap between the wheel and the fender for a wider, more planted stance, adds clearance for larger brake calipers, and helps aftermarket wheels sit flush. A few millimeters changes both the look and the fitment.
