Q: How do canards compare to a front lip for adding downforce?
They work at different spots on the front. A front lip acts at the leading edge and lower bumper, while canards add downforce at the front corners and manage airflow along the sides. Canards are the smaller, lower-cost step, and they pair with the lip rather than replace it. For the biggest front effect, run both. On their own, canards still add corner grip and a race look.
