Q: How does a flow-formed BBS wheel compare to a forged wheel?
Flow-forming spins and stretches the barrel under heat and pressure to align the grain, giving you much of forging’s strength at a lower price than a fully forged wheel. Our forged UP-03 goes further on outright strength-to-weight and starts lighter, but the flow-formed Flugplatz brings the BBS name and German manufacturing at a friendlier cost. Different tools for different budgets.
