Q: How does the pad contact area compare to stock?

Up front, pad-to-rotor surface contact jumps 93 percent over stock, from 77.5 cm2 to 149.4 cm2, on a 394 x 36 mm carbon ceramic rotor with a 6-piston monoblock caliper. The rear adds roughly 19 percent more pad contact on a 365 x 28 mm rotor with a 56 mm sweep annulus. More friction area means shorter stops and better heat management, with a firmer, more repeatable pedal.
