The Ascension-RR runs a 4:1 downforce-to-drag ratio, meaning every 1 N of drag it adds returns about 4 N of downforce. A wide, near-full-width span and a custom airfoil inspired by the NACA 6415 profile let it make strong downforce while keeping wake disturbance low. High camber does the work at a lower angle of attack. You get grip without a huge top-speed penalty.
