Q: How is the carbon made, and does the finish need protection?
It is prepreg carbon fiber cured in an autoclave with a proprietary dry-carbon-kevlar backing layer, then finished with a UV-protectant clear coat, so it arrives showing Koenigsegg’s signature weave. Because the base-coat weave finish is not covered against UV fading or discoloration, professional clear coat or paint protection film is the recommended way to keep it looking right long term.
