Q: How much load can these wheels take?

Each UP-04 carries a load rating of 1984 lbs, roughly 900 kg per wheel, which is substantial headroom for a car as heavy as the Model S. That rating comes from the forged construction, refined with Finite Element Analysis to find and reinforce stress points. A knurled bead seat also grips the tire to limit slippage under the Plaid’s hard launches and heavy braking.
