Q: How strong is the 18-inch UP-05 wheel?

It carries a 900 kg per-wheel load rating, nearly 2,000 lb, which is overbuilt for EV duty cycles and family cargo. It’s forged from 6061-T6 aluminum for a light but robust structure, and the barrels are knurled to help keep the tire from slipping on the rim during hard launches, a real benefit with instant EV torque. For a wheel that might see dirt and potholes, that strength margin is the point.
