Q: What does a headlight level sensor do on a Tesla?
It measures rear ride height so the car can automatically aim its headlight beams, keeping them out of oncoming drivers’ eyes as load and pitch change. On many EU, Asia, and Oceania market Model 3 and Model Y builds, that sensor mounts to the left rear camber arm, and local regulations require the leveling system to keep working.
