Q: What is a forged wheel, and why does it matter on an EV?

A forged wheel is shaped from a solid billet under extreme heat and pressure, which aligns the grain for high strength at low weight. CYBRHEX uses 6061-T6 forged aluminum, so it resists cracking better than cast wheels while trimming rotating mass. On a heavy, torque-rich Model 3 that means sharper response and steadier braking. Knurled barrel beads help keep the tire locked to the rim under hard launches.
