Q: What is the philosophy behind building carbon doors this way?

Colin Chapman’s principle, add lightness, has guided us since we started Unplugged Performance in 2013, and advanced carbon fiber manufacturing has been core to the brand from the beginning. For doors, though, safety outranked chasing the absolute lowest number. We could have saved cost and a couple of kilograms with a simpler carbon-only door. Instead we built the Carbon-Hybrid version with the safety features we want on our own race cars.
