Q: What is UP-05 built from and how strong is it?

UP-05 is a forged monoblock wheel, so the forging process gives it high strength with reduced weight relative to cast or flow-formed wheels. The whole point of the 19-inch UP-05 is a lighter, stronger setup than the factory wheel, cut for the 2021+ Model S. That strength-to-weight is what lets it handle Plaid mass and torque while sharpening steering response.
