Q: What steel is used and where is it thickest?

It’s A36 steel, chosen for toughness and weldability, with thickness placed where the loads are. Internal reinforcement runs 1/4-inch steel, exposed sections use gauge 10 (just over 1/8 inch), and non-load-bearing cosmetic areas drop to 1/16 inch to save weight and protect range. The chassis anchoring hardware goes up to 1/2 inch, so the mounting points have no weak spots.
