Q: What’s the difference between the 4-point and 6-point version?
The 6-point adds a pair of crotch straps to the 4-point’s shoulder and lap belts, which stops you sliding forward under hard braking, called submarining, and it is the FIA-approved configuration. The 4-point is simpler to mount and fine for spirited street use with a bucket seat. For track days and any sanctioned competition, the 6-point is the one to run.
