Q: Why do stainless steel brake lines improve pedal feel on a Model X?
Because the factory rubber lines expand and contract under hard braking, which creates a soft, spongy pedal and slightly dulls braking response. Stainless braided lines resist that expansion, so more of your pedal effort reaches the caliper. On a heavy Model X, the firmer, more consistent pedal shows up most during spirited driving.
