Q: Why is a forged wheel better under EV torque?

Forging compresses the aluminum grain into a denser, stronger structure, so a 6061-T6 forged wheel handles the instant torque and heavy braking of an EV with less flex than cast. The CYBRHEX also uses knurled barrel beads, a machined texture on the bead seat that helps keep the tire from slipping on the rim during hard launches. High load capacity backs stability under braking and in long sweepers.
