Base Coat Information
Our parts feature a base coat finish that displays the carbon fiber weave. These finishes serve as a foundation and can be enhanced through professional clear coating or protection film services at your local automotive facility. As these are base coat finishes, warranty coverage excludes all cosmetic outcomes including UV-related fading, discoloration, scratches, rock chips, and finish degradation.
Warranty Coverage
- 5 year structural warranty on fitment and functionality for the original owner.
- Base coat finishes are provided as-is as a no-cost time-saver to prepare the parts for recommended clearcoat or paint protection.
- Compatible with recommended professional clear coating and paint protection services.
- Warranty does not cover visual degradation or discoloration from UV or other damage for unprotected parts.

How is this spoiler backed if something goes wrong?
The original owner gets a 5-year structural warranty covering fitment and functionality. What that does not cover, as with all our carbon, is cosmetic degradation on unprotected surfaces; the factory UV clear coat helps, but it is not a substitute for protection. On a piece at this price, keeping the clear coat intact and adding paint protection film is worth it to preserve the Arrow-weave look over the years.
Can I still wrap or repaint it later?
You can, though covering the Arrow-weave would hide the main reason to buy this version. The spoiler ships finished in clear-coated dry carbon, and you could wrap or paint it to a solid color if your taste changes. Most owners leave the Koenigsegg weave exposed, since the hypercar carbon is the whole appeal. To balance the rear with the front, many pair it with the carbon front lip spoiler.
What makes the Koenigsegg version different from the standard trunk spoiler?
This is our High Efficiency trunk spoiler built by Koenigsegg Advanced Manufacturing in Europe, on the same production line as the carbon aero used on Koenigsegg’s hypercars. It carries the same aerodynamic shape as our standard spoiler but in Koenigsegg’s proprietary dry carbon fiber weave. You are getting hypercar-grade construction and the signature Arrow-weave pattern rather than a different aero profile.
What is the Arrow-weave construction?
Arrow-weave is Koenigsegg’s signature carbon fiber pattern, laid up in their proprietary design and cured in an autoclave. It is a visual and structural hallmark of parts from their manufacturing line, distinct from a standard twill weave. On this spoiler it signals that the piece came off the same process as their hypercar bodywork, produced in prepreg dry carbon to keep weight low while holding high rigidity.
How does it attach, and will it damage my Model Y?
It installs with ultra-strong automotive-grade 3M double-sided tape, the same approach as the factory trunk spoiler’s attachment, with no drilling and no modification to the vehicle. The factory spoiler comes off cleanly and this goes in its place. Because nothing is cut, the install is reversible. Most owners can handle the swap themselves, and our Hawthorne shop can do it if you prefer.
Is this made for the first-gen trunk or the newer Juniper?
It fits the first-generation Model Y trunk, the same application as our standard high-efficiency spoiler for the 2020 to 2025 car. It is not made for the 2026+ Juniper. Because this is a limited-production collaboration item, confirm fitment for your specific car before ordering rather than assuming, and reach out if you are unsure whether your Model Y matches this application.
Does the spoiler actually reduce drag or just look fast?
It reduces drag. We designed the High Efficiency shape using aero simulation and CAD to clean up airflow off the hatch, which lowers drag and adds rear stability, and the design is patent pending. It also does not impede rearward visibility. The Koenigsegg build does not change that engineering; it executes the proven shape in hypercar-grade carbon. Function drove the shape before the badge did.
Why does it cost $3,995 when the standard spoiler is far less?
The price reflects who builds it and how. This version is made in the EU by Koenigsegg Advanced Manufacturing in their proprietary dry carbon weave, on the same line as their hypercar aero, as a limited-production item. If you want the aero benefit at a lower price, our standard high-efficiency trunk spoiler delivers the same shape. The Koenigsegg piece is for owners who want the provenance.
Is the carbon just for looks or is it structural?
It is structural dry carbon fiber, produced in prepreg and cured in an autoclave to keep weight low while maintaining high rigidity, then finished in a UV-protectant clear coat. This is not a carbon-look wrap over plastic. The construction is the point of the collaboration: genuine hypercar-grade carbon on your Tesla, built to the same standard Koenigsegg applies to their own cars.
Does it block the rear view or camera?
No. The spoiler was engineered so it does not impede the driver’s rearward visibility, sitting low enough on the hatch that it does not intrude on the mirror’s sightline. That was a design requirement from the start, not an afterthought. You get the aggressive rear profile and the aero benefit without trading away practical visibility on daily drives.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.Â
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout. For specific questions or shipping quotes, Unplugged Performance’s support team is available to assist.
