Billet Adjustable Rear Camber Arm Set
The Model S Plaid + LR Billet Adjustable Rear Camber Arm Set for 2021+ Tesla Model S variants, has been developed on our Pikes Peak Class-Winning “Dark Helmet” race car. The multi-link rear suspension on the new Model S presents a large engineering challenge to solve to allow both maximum adjustment of rear camber as well as proper usability for the technician performing the alignment. In going through a myriad of suspension settings for Pikes Peak as well as record laps at Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow we ended up doing alignments over and over. These camber arms provide maximum alignment flexibility and durability with sealed spherical bushings and CNC-milled billet aluminum construction, coupled with high-strength stainless steel adjustment mechanisms.
For racing use, this is a popular upgrade to ensure maximum performance on the track. For street use, this is a popular upgrade that allows you to adjust the rear camber to neutralize uneven tire wear, especially when lowering the vehicle or driving at highway speeds.

Are the camber arms Plaid-specific, or will a Long Range take them?
A Long Range takes them. The set fits 2021 through 2026+ Model S variants, both the Plaid and the Long Range, because they share the rear multi-link suspension. They were developed on our Plaid race car but are not Plaid-only. They also fit the Model X of the same generation. If your car predates 2021 it uses a different rear end and needs different arms.
How do these arms hold an alignment better than stock?
They combine sealed spherical bushings with high-strength stainless steel adjustment mechanisms, so once you set camber it stays put instead of drifting as soft rubber would. The spherical bushings also run silent while removing the deflection that lets the rear wheel move under load. The result is a rear alignment you can trust to stay where the shop set it, whether that is a street number or a track number.
What material and validation went into these?
They are CNC-milled from 6061 aluminum for strength with minimal weight, and FEA-simulation optimized for static, dynamic, and fatigue strength. Development began with a precise 3D scan of the car’s rear suspension to build a working digital model, then moved to real racing and street testing on our own cars before release. This is the same arm we relied on setting records at Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow.
I lowered my Model S and my inner tires are wearing, will these fix that?
That is exactly what they address for street use. Lowering the car adds static negative camber the factory geometry cannot dial back out, which chews the inner edge of the rear tires. These arms let you bring camber back toward neutral, so the tire wears evenly again. If you also lowered the front, the adjustable front upper control arms do the same job up there for a balanced result.
Are these a track-only part or useful on the street?
Useful for both, with different goals. Track and race drivers use them to maximize the tire contact patch mid-corner. Street drivers use them to correct camber for even tire wear, especially after lowering or for high-speed highway stability. The build is the same either way, so a daily-driven Model S gets the durability benefit of spherical bushings on top of the alignment control.
Do I need the rest of the rear arms, or do camber arms alone help?
Camber arms alone deliver a real, standalone benefit, which is why owners often buy them first. To fully re-engineer the rear you would add the adjustable toe arm and the billet fore and aft links, and the complete suspension package bundles all of it with lowering and a sway bar. Start with camber if tire wear is your pain point, then build out the rear as your goals grow.
Can these be installed and adjusted at a normal alignment shop?
Yes. The adjustment mechanism was designed with the technician doing the alignment in mind, since the Model S multi-link rear is genuinely awkward to work on. Any shop comfortable with Tesla vehicles can install and set them, and our Hawthorne team can handle it for owners near Los Angeles. Have the camber set on a rack after install, then it holds thanks to the stainless adjusters.
Will adjustable camber arms void my Model S warranty?
Installing them does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Magnuson-Moss requires Tesla to prove a specific failure was caused by the arm to deny a related claim, so the modification alone is not enough. Keep your removed factory arms so a return to stock stays possible. Our own suspension warranty stands behind these arms as well, which is part of why owners run them long term.
Why would I want adjustable rear camber arms on my Model S?
Because the multi-link rear on the 2021+ Model S has no meaningful factory camber adjustment, and you often need one. On the street, dialing camber lets you neutralize the uneven inner-tire wear that shows up after lowering or from lots of highway miles. On track, it lets you set the rear for maximum tire contact through a corner. These arms give you that control across a wide range.
What is the camber adjustment range on these arms?
They deliver the largest possible rear camber range, from +1 to -4.5 degrees. That span covers a mild street correction all the way to an aggressive track setting on the same set of arms. We arrived at that range developing the car for Pikes Peak and record laps, where we ran through countless alignments. For most lowered street cars a small negative figure fixes tire wear; track cars use much more.
Will upgrading my brakes void the Tesla warranty?
Tesla’s warranty covers factory-installed parts, but it does not automatically void your warranty if you install aftermarket components like Unplugged Performance brake kits. Under U.S. law (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), Tesla must prove that an aftermarket part caused a failure in order to deny warranty coverage. Our parts are engineered to work harmoniously with Tesla OEM Brake systems and can be professionally installed by Unplugged Performance in Hawthorne, CA or by an authorized installer to minimize risk. That said, any damage directly caused by misuse or improper installation may not be covered. We recommend retaining all factory parts so you can revert to stock if needed. This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.

Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty.
