HD Rock Sliders protect the rocker area along the sides and act as steps, but they don’t cover the floor of the truck. Underbody armor plates the belly and the battery directly. They protect different zones, and a serious off-road build usually wants both: sliders for the sides, armor for the floor. The armor uses a mix of gauge 10 steel, just over 1/8 inch thick, and gauge 12 steel, just under 1/8 inch. Gauge 10 is placed in the high-impact areas for maximum durability, while gauge 12 sits in less critical zones to shave weight without giving up protection. That selective thickness keeps the Cybertruck shielded while watching the mass that affects range.

Yes. The ribs stiffen the steel plates so they resist deforming when the underbody drags across or drops onto an obstacle, which is what enables the crush protection across the floor. A flat plate of the same weight would flex more. The multi-piece layout also means a damaged section can be addressed without replacing the entire floor’s worth of armor.

Two things work together. A thick black powder coating rides on top of the 304 stainless already built into the design for wet and salty environments, so the plates fight rust from both the surface and the base metal. A part this exposed to trail spray and road salt needs that double layer. It’s the same protection approach across the Heavy-Duty Armor Exterior System.

It’s engineered for extreme off-road environments, with the goal of keeping the Cybertruck and its battery ready for hard terrain. The A36 backbone takes the heavy impacts while the stainless handles the elements. If your driving is mostly pavement, this is more armor than you’ll use; if you’re crawling rocks or running rough trails, it’s aimed squarely at you.

It shields the floor of the truck, and critically the battery pack that sits underneath, from rocks, debris, and hard impacts when you’re off-road. The UP INVINCIBLE Underbody Armor uses a multi-piece ribbed design with heavy-duty steel plates to spread crush loads across the floor. On an EV, protecting that battery from below is one of the most important things you can do before serious trail use.

It combines A36 steel and 304 stainless steel, each doing a specific job. A36 forms the structural backbone, absorbing heavy impacts from rocks and debris thanks to its toughness. The 304 stainless brings superior corrosion resistance for wet and salty conditions. Together they give you impact strength where hits land and rust resistance where the elements attack.

Possibly, and we won’t overstate it. We build this armor for strength and off-road durability, but Unplugged has not crash tested it, and adding steel under the floor can change how the vehicle behaves in a collision. You agree to that disclaimer at purchase, and parts can be returned within 30 days of shipment for a refund, less shipping, if you’re not comfortable proceeding. We’d rather be upfront than overstate what the armor does in a crash.

Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.

This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.

Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
