Product Details
If you daily a Model 3, 18-inch is the smart size. You get more sidewall for comfort and rim protection, less rotating mass for snappier acceleration, and a forged wheel that laughs off potholes compared with heavy cast 19s or 20s. This package pairs our UP-RW Road Warrior 18×8.5 +32 with your choice of Michelin tires, professionally mounted, road-force balanced, and shipped with TPMS installed so you can bolt on and go.
Why 18-inch UP-RW on Model 3
- Efficiency that shows up in the real world
Dropping wheel diameter and weight reduces rotational inertia and rolling losses, which helps the car use less energy to get moving and to maintain speed. That means more miles per charge in typical stop-and-go driving and on rolling highways. - Quicker feel off the line
Lower rotating mass takes less torque to spin up. The result is a sharper step-off and more immediate throttle response, especially noticeable in city driving and mid-range passing. - Ride quality and protection
The taller 40 to 45 sidewall absorbs sharp impacts and helps shield the rim from curbs and potholes. You keep steering precision while gaining daily comfort. - Forged to be used, not babied
UP-RW wheels are 6061-T6 forged monoblocks with a very high load rating for EV duty. The modern aero face is shaped to play nicely with Tesla efficiency, and the integrated, replaceable Curb Guard ring lets you refresh cosmetics without replacing the wheel.

Why choose an 18-inch wheel to daily a Model 3?
Eighteen-inch is the smart size for daily miles. You get more sidewall for comfort and rim protection, less rotating mass for snappier acceleration, and a forged wheel that shrugs off potholes better than heavy cast 19s or 20s. This package pairs the UP-RW Road Warrior 18×8.5 +32 with Michelin tires, mounted, road-force balanced, and shipped with TPMS installed so you bolt on and drive.
What is the bolt pattern and center bore on these Model 3 wheels?
The UP-RW is a 5×114.3 bolt pattern with a 64.1 mm center bore, which matches the Model 3, running an 18×8.5 wheel at +32 offset. Those are the numbers that determine correct hub-centric fitment, and they are dialed for the platform here. The wheels use Tesla lug nuts and TPMS directly, so nothing extra is needed to mount them properly on your car.
How does dropping to 18-inch help my Model 3’s range?
Reducing wheel diameter and weight lowers rotational inertia and rolling losses, so the car uses less energy to get moving and to hold speed. That shows up as more miles per charge in stop-and-go driving and on rolling highways. The modern aero face of the UP-RW is shaped to work with Tesla efficiency, and the narrower 8.5-inch width keeps rolling resistance in check.
Which tire options come with the 18-inch UP-RW package?
Two matched configurations plus a summer choice. The winter setup pairs the wheels with 245/40R18 Michelin X-Ice Snow, a studless winter tire that grips ice, packed snow, and slush while staying quiet on dry roads. The range-optimized setup uses 235/45R18 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 for low rolling resistance, wet braking, and light-snow capability. A Michelin Pilot Sport 4S option is also available.
What makes the UP-RW’s curb protection different?
The narrower 8.5-inch width lets the OEM Tesla tire bulge slightly past the rim, creating a tire pillow that shields the wheel lip from curbs, unlike a flush or stretched fitment. And if you do scrape something, the integrated replaceable Curb Guard ring restores the look without replacing the wheel or removing the tire. It is a practical, cost-effective defense unique to the Road Warrior design.
Does this fit all Model 3 years?
Yes. Choose your vehicle year at checkout, 2017 to 2020 or 2020 to present, and the correct package ships. The UP-RW 18×8.5 +32 fitment is designed around the Model 3, and it comes with factory-spec TPMS installed for your car, either the 2017 to 2020 sensor or the Bluetooth type for 2021 and newer. It bolts on with Tesla lug hardware, no adapters.
How quick is the install since it ships mounted?
Very quick. The package arrives with tires already mounted, road-force balanced, and TPMS installed, so the actual job is bolting four wheels on and torquing to Tesla spec. If you are near Los Angeles, our Hawthorne service center can fit them and check everything. Set cold tire pressures accurately before you drive, and have the torque rechecked after the first few hundred miles.
How does the 18-inch UP-RW compare to a 19 or 20-inch wheel?
The 18-inch trades outright lower-profile looks for real daily advantages: more sidewall cushion, better rim protection, and less rotating mass. The forged construction takes hits that crack heavier cast wheels in larger sizes. If you want a slightly larger diameter, the 19-inch UP-RW package exists too. For a smooth, efficient, durable daily, the 18-inch is built exactly for that.
Is the two-tone ring on the 18-inch UP-RW just cosmetic?
Satin Black with a Satin Gunmetal ring, a clean two-tone look that suits the Model 3 across paint colors. The finish is more than cosmetic since the ring is the replaceable Curb Guard component, so a curb scrape can be refreshed without refinishing the whole wheel. One finish keeps the decision simple while still giving the wheel a distinct, modern face on the car.
How is this package different from buying the Road Warrior wheels alone?
This is the turnkey 18-inch route with Michelin tires, mount, balance, and TPMS handled in one order. If you want to choose your own diameter or supply tires, the UP-RW Road Warrior wheel set of four sells the wheels on their own in 18, 19, or 20-inch. Buy this package for a complete winter or range setup; buy the set to build your own.
What does the Unplugged Performance product warranty cover?
Unplugged Performance offers a comprehensive warranty on all parts and installations performed by our certified technicians. Warranty coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship on items including lowering springs, coilovers, big brake kits, brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, shocks, and more. Should any covered part fail under normal use or display premature wear, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost—assuming the component was installed by us or at one of our authorized partners.
This warranty is valid for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, excluding consumable products like brake pads, rotors, and tires, starting from the installation date. Coverage extends to labor for warranty repairs when performed by Unplugged Performance or an authorized installer. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, off‑road use, improper installation not done by us, or modifications that aren’t factory-approved.
To file a warranty claim, simply contact our service team. We’ll guide you through inspection, shipping (if needed), and repair or replacement logistics. transparencia and top-tier support are what you can expect from Unplugged.
Will installing Unplugged Performance parts void my Tesla warranty?
Installing aftermarket parts does not automatically void your Tesla warranty. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (www.sema.org/sema-enews/2011/01/ftc-validates-right-to-install-aftermarket-parts), a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you installed aftermarket parts. Tesla must prove that the aftermarket part caused the specific failure in question to deny a warranty claim. UP recommends retaining all factory parts to allow reverting to stock if needed.
What are the shipping options and times?
Unplugged Performance processes orders quickly, typically within 1–2 business days after placement. For U.S. customers, orders under $50 usually ship via FedEx SmartPost with an estimated delivery time of 2–7 business days. Larger items like body kits or bumpers may ship via freight carriers with curbside delivery; customers will be contacted to schedule a delivery window. International shipping is available to most countries, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times abroad vary, generally ranging from 5 to 16 business days depending on destination. Import duties or taxes are the customer’s responsibility. To ensure a smooth shipping experience, provide accurate contact information during checkout. For specific questions or shipping quotes, Unplugged Performance’s support team is available to assist.
