Q: Is a 21-inch wheel practical if I want some winter or rough-road ability?

A 21 is firmer and has less sidewall to protect the rim, so it’s best where roads are good or for a summer-and-track setup. For winter or rougher surfaces, a smaller diameter with more sidewall is the better tool, and many owners keep this 21 as a warm-season set. If you want one wheel that leans toward all-road and snow duty, our 18-inch UP-03 package with all-terrain rubber is the counterpart.
