Q: Do bigger 22-inch wheels reduce range or ride comfort?

Going up in diameter and to a wider all-terrain tire generally costs some range and can firm up the ride versus a 20, though the 22’s remaining sidewall keeps comfort better than a 24 would. If range and ride are the priority, the 20-inch CYBRHEX package is the softer-riding option. The tire you choose drives most of it: the highway-focused Defender is easier on range than the aggressive R/T.
