Q: Does a forged wheel make sense on an older 2012 to 2020 Model S?

It does. Those early Model S cars are heavy, and a forged 6061-T6 wheel resists bending and cracking on rough roads better than a cast wheel while cutting weight. Refreshing the wheels is also a clean way to modernize an older car’s look.
