Q: How does the 4S compare to a Michelin all-season tire?
The 4S trades cold-weather range for outright grip. It is a summer tire with a stickier compound and firmer contact patch, so a Model 3 turns in harder and brakes shorter than it does on an all-season. The Pilot Sport All Season 4 gives up some of that peak grip to work in snow and near-freezing temperatures. Pick the 4S if you swap tires seasonally or live somewhere warm.
