Q: Is 255/45R20 oversized compared to a stock Tesla 20-inch tire?

Yes. The 255/45R20 has a taller rolling diameter than many factory 20-inch sizes such as 255/40R20. In practice the overall tire is slightly taller, so your speedometer reads a touch low, meaning you are going a bit faster than indicated, and there is a small effect on range from the changed rolling radius. We call this out so you can decide how it fits your build.
