Q: Once it arrives, is fitting it a DIY job?

For most owners, yes. The tire is mounted and balanced and the sensor is already installed, so you are bolting a completed wheel to the hub. A floor jack, a torque wrench set to Tesla’s spec, and a re-torque after the first drive covers it. If you would rather have it done, our Hawthorne and Fremont shops handle the bolt-up by appointment.
