Q: What is the replaceable curb-guard ring and why does it matter?
The UP-RW has a sacrificial aluminum outer ring built to take curb damage instead of the wheel. Curb rash is one of the most common and costly annoyances for owners, and here the ring absorbs the hit and swaps out easily, preserving the wheel underneath. It means you can park and maneuver daily without a scrape turning into permanent, expensive damage. Two-pack replacement rings are offered as an add-on.
