Q: Who designed the CYBRHEX wheel for the Model Y?
Accomplished supercar designer Sasha Selipanov, working with Unplugged Performance. The shape traces back to his 2007 Pharaoh concept car, a 1970s-inspired brutalist wedge design, which UP co-founder Ben Schaffer revived after seeing the old sketches. That heritage is why the wheel looks timeless and futuristic at once, echoing the Cybertruck’s angular presence. Selipanov’s Sash! signature is even engraved on the barrel. This wheel carries real design pedigree, the work of a named hand rather than a styling exercise.
